Helios visits Helios
Lamps visits Badger
DS uses boomerang on Badger meaning Lamps is dealt 10% damage
Now bussing would make it
Helios visits Lamps
Lamps visits Badger
DS uses boomerang on Badger meaning Helios is dealt 10% damage
This is speculation, based on what I read - but it would explain Helios getting damage. |
No it wouldn't.
Why would DS using the boomerang on Badger deal me damage in this situation? If I am bussed with Lamps, and the issue comes from DS and Lamps using abilities on Badger, then how do I end up with the damage? I don't see how DS using the boomerang wouldn't still cause Lamps to take the damage.
Unless I don't understand how DS' boomerang actually works, I'm very much missing something in this scenario.
|
DS action affects target X. That was me. Now X and Y are bussed. So it affects Y. Y is you. I THINK that is how it works but im not the host. |
I understand that. The way it's described though is odd, as quoted in this quotethread (more letters lol):
W (DS) targets X (Badger).
Y (Lamps) targets X (Badger).
Z (Helios) targets Z (Helios).
Y and Z are bussed. Thus,
Z (Helios) targets Y (Lamps)
Y (Lamps) still targets X (Badger)
W (DS) still targets X(Badger)
Thus, I don't understand how Z (Helios) gets the damage. Unless the way it works is that DS' action deals damage to whoever targets his target, which means that damage, and not just actions, is bussable? Alternately, DS directly targeted Lamps, which would be bussed to me. |

You know Helios is scum when he summarizes everything and then adds to the discussion by picking out one random sentence someone says and writes an italicized diatribe about how it's curious and he really, REALLY wants to know more about it.
"What did you mean by this, though? You are eating a biscuit? A BISCUIT???? Seems a little farfetched to me. Really gonna need to hear more about this biscuit situation." | Yes
With some form of over the top, “Wait, what the actual fuck?!” thrown in
| A biscuit? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Say it with me... inactive biscuit is still biscuit. And my key to victory. |

You don't think the hammer's a day kill? Sounds like it's set up for that, given that it's the only item available today. |
I mean it could be. The fact that the hammer activates as soon as you touch it might mean it attacks automatically?
But in the game you just swing indiscriminately hitting anyone you can reach and stopping people from hitting you by hitting them first.
Could be a random attack or a instant counterattack weapon

Perhaps the hammer is some kind of PGO-type action? Thinking about how the hammer automatically knocks the shit out of anything that comes in contact with it, perhaps the hammer automatically knocks the shit out of anyone who visits the person? |

I like that, I could see the hammer being a PGO one shot.

Do people want to give the hammer to someone everyone feels is town or no? Are we going to let it go to random?
If it's random then I will probably unclaim.

Obviously giving the hammer to town is a good idea.
Worst idea...letting ahoda have it.

Giving it to a random person seems like a weird choice imo.
Who else is claiming it?

I'm fine with DS and Vic fighting for the hammer, not sure who else is wanting it.

That sounds right except for the fact that the item is being publicly recieved. Nobody is going to be bothering the hammer person tonight surely. Seems like the threat of the hammer works just as well as the hammer itself.

This is true. Or you could throw a bomb or use find fire or any projectile really... Don't think the meta for this game is That complicated though.

We've been discussing how the hammer is essentially the most powerful weapon released thus far, and just what way the hammer will wreck shit......and you want to give it to someone random!? |

I was mostly just messing around, due to the fact that we could theorize about what a potential item would do - but most of that is purely speculation. I think it's pretty obvious that the hammer would be a powerful item, and that is all we really need to know. I think the best play is for the group to collectively choose who we think should get it, and if anyone else claims it then that is suspicious as fuck.
I would be comfortable with DS because I am fairly certain that he is town based on how he has played so far.
