The lake thing at the end was real cool. Lots of creative and well shot little moments in this episode
Probably one of my favorites in awhile. This recent run of episodes has been great

I liked Martinez quite a bit. Last season in that episode when Rick and The Governor went to that place to meet, Martinez' little backstory scene with Daryl was one of my favorites. Gave some depth to someone that seemed like a stock goon character. Sad to see him go. He had a great death though

I FEAR FOR HERSHEL :( . I knew that him and Michonne being outside the wall would come into play. If one dies, it'd be Hershel over Michonne. I grow more and more attached to Hershel as he survives more and more shit |

Another thing. I loved the little trail of headless bodies with the liar/rapist/murderer signs. I always like little unexplained glimpses into other people's stories
And I guess we're not supposed to believe the Governor had anything to do with the RATS anymore? I don't see how he could've. So if it's Bob, is he not in league with the Governor? WEIRD

Another thing, I really liked the opening scene. With the Governor and Megan playing chess and the Governor talking about his dad. I really thought for a second that as the music kicked in and the camera began to RISE, I thought it would show the prison walls behind the Governor and reveal that him and Megan are INSIDE the prison. So we know that shit goes down and those two are living in there, either with or without the main group. That would've been sweet

The opening scene was gud. I was wondering what they were going to pull back and reveal as it was clearly building to something then O SHIT HE'S GOT A TANK. | "Kurtis Page isn't real, in fact he is an alias of a rogue program that murders people throughout the internet." - Korr |

Srsly though if he has the tank NOW, how are they going to make the WAR last for another NINE EPISODES? I am presuming that final showdown in which RIK kills the governor will close the season ... | "Kurtis Page isn't real, in fact he is an alias of a rogue program that murders people throughout the internet." - Korr |

THINGS I DON'T LIKE:
1. It's all rly just come down to LUCK. I know it's unfair to compare TWD with e.g. BB but there is a MACHINE GUN/TANK parallel that rly puts the former show to shame ... BB (and Lost, etc.) were always pretty clever about character destinies and for the most part LOGISTICS. Walt couldn't just stumble upon a machine gun but Governor has basically stumbled upon a tank. There is no GRATE PLAN here (and granted Governor is much more opportunist and genuinely insane than Walt) but it's somewhat disheartening when you reflect on how he's been built up over one and a half seasons to be the big bad but rly he just stumbles around and DEUS EX MACHINA's his way back into the plot ... big reveal is he has a tank ... then we see he got the tank largely because he stumbled into a camp where they have a tank. I mean given the show's UNIVERSE I don't know if there could have been any more REASONABLE explanation than that, it just doesn't sit right with me for sum reason. WHY DOES GOVERNOR GET ALL THE BREAKS while Rick Grimes' group gets the flu.
2. Martinez. Thinking more about LOST (and I thought this at the time of watching), this just wouldn't have happened in a BETTER SHOW ... the seeds of rivalry were planted between the two, their roals were reversed, all you needed for drama and confrontation ... but rather than playing it out as a SUB-STORY which then becomes CRUCIAL later down the line (they got this a bit closer to the mark with Merle), the writers are keen to just kill off every peripheral character ASAP as though Martinez had served his story purpose and so he might as well becum zombie chow. | "Kurtis Page isn't real, in fact he is an alias of a rogue program that murders people throughout the internet." - Korr |
