Watched All is Lost last night. Robert Redford is an amazing actor. Not sure anyone else could have pulled that off |
I loved that movie | |

Saw Jumanji with my family before catching my flight. Great film.
I'm not a Dwayne Johnson fan probably from the WWE stigma, but I don't think I've disliked a single movie he has been in that I've seen.
Kevin Hart was fun as always but Jack Black...hilarious! Loved him in this!

Is that the lost at sea movie? I almost watched it, but wasn't sure how good it might be

Watched Odd Thomas last night. It was pretty decent for a movie based on teen books.
|
I actually read several of those, the first book was very enjoyable. But I didn't think it would translate well to a movie. |
I thought it worked well, but not sure what additional plots and twists they had in the book. |
|
Can't recall the book exactly, it was a good tale, investigative story ... the big twist was the ending with his GF being dead the entire time. |

She is alive for most of the movie, then after the mall scene, she "survives", is in the hospital when he wakes up, and they are living together in happiness. Then the sheriff and stuff show up and tell him its time to move on and let her go and you realize she hasn't said anything since the mall. It's executed decently. It's weirder when you think that the actor is actually dead IRL. |

Nope! Did you enjoy it?
I loved Late Phases. Such a weird lead character and setting for a werewolf movie that I couldn't help but enjoy it.

Late Phases was fun. It’s like they had a couple of different movie/genre ideas so they mashed it into one, agreed about the character and setting
The Devil’s Candy stars the son from Late Phases strangely enough. You should definitely watch it, it’s pretty hardcore

Wife and I watched on Christmas Eve while we waited for the kids to go to sleep. We enjoyed it. If you want a really funny Christmas movie, watch The Night Before. Its hysterical. |
