I suppose a Mittens lynch wouldn't be a disaster if his role is proven to be true. It clears several players...I just don't think it's necessary as I believe him already.

It's far from the only weird claim. My role is weird. Socks role was weird. Rose's Town Puppetmaster claim is weird if true.
I think all this is by design. Curtis and Josh filled the game with lots of weird town roles to amp up the confusion.
If ya wanna lynch Mittens, fine, it's not quite a win/win, but it would at least be a win/kinda win lynch. I find it easier to believe him because my role is weird too, and his explanations made sense to me.
