I'd be interested in a mafia game with safeclaims available. |

Somebody make a mafia where you are not allowed to role claim at all! |
Has that ever been done before?

I'm not a fan of the idea of not being allowed to claim because look what happened in Buffy mafia when we weren't allowed to claim what our flavor was. People came very close to breaking the rules all the time and there was constant discussion about what was and wasn't allowed, and it was generally a distraction from the game itself. If that restriction extends to the roles themselves, the problem would likely get much worse. |

It could be fun to try, but yeah. I had no idea I was breaking the rules until Nofo told me lol.

I would think it would work, I guess, only in theory though. I was thinking you just cannot claim what your role is meaning nothing in the flavour, what your character or item is, or the details of your role, even if you lie about it.
Also, no meta-gaming. | |

For some reason it has been instilled in a few generations of Mafia players that when you're at L-1, you claim - like clockwork. This is anti-Town and frankly dumb precisely because the pressure has a decent chance of going away without the claim. Therefore, what happens is that either (alleged) Town power roles get outed at L-1 (causing everyone to get frustrated) or the wagonee claims VT and then the wagon goes down (causing the experienced players to get frustrated). |

I wouldn't mind trying another open role game, that could be fun. Open role game is when the host tells you every roll that's gonna be in the game beforehand
It'll take away all the creativity in trying to lie as scum, and it'll make lynches more black and white when two people claim the same role, but it could be fun to try either way

I really wanna try to make mine no plurality, but I feel like activity is iffy enough that it might be necessary. It's a really different game when you have to achieve majority. More fun I think | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I've never been in a pluarlity game before FE and every single time, the Day Phases are incredibly boring, drag on and always result in no lynches. They suck at mafia in general though.
They also describe all the actions that happened in the night phase and give vague descriptions of the characters in the write up. It kind of makes every single role an investigate role as people can claim seeing people in the write-up. But it makes for some fun reading I guess. |

I actually wanted to do one of those quick mini mafia games where all the roles are shuffled into a "deck" and each person gets two roles, but discard one. Every role that was discarded is revealed, showing what each person passed on. |

That's pretty kul. I wanna do more mini mafias real bad. It's a fun way to experiment with new mechanics. We should do a few after Rob Ford ends
