Before all of the Sunday night TV started I was watching Snow White and the Huntsman. I remember hyping this movie up to myself back before it was released in theaters. For some reason I wanted to love it. I might give it another shot if it's playing later tonight... but what I saw wasn't very good. Not that any review of the movie I ever saw gave me reason to think otherwise.

It's pretty shitty. Kristen Stewart is just not a compelling presence because her traditional acting style (passive and dead-eyed) doesn't really suit a swashbucklin fantasy adventure. Charlize Theron's performance is the high point of the movie because she really does indulge in all the silly, over-the-top villainous elements. The art direction's something to BEHOLD on occasions but the movie's got no real momentum. Thinking back to the plot it's just Snow White and the Huntsman travel from TOWN A to TOWN B and then eventually fight EVIL QUEEN.
Last movie I watched was Kill Bill, Volume 1! the fuck was that

I watched Seven Psychopaths like night. It was a incredibly weird and a tad bit tough to follow at the beginning but it was put together nicely and very entertaining. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

JURASSIC PARK 3D
So good. I love seeing it in the theater. The 3D wasn't a factor whatsoever. You hardly notice it, but when you do notice it it's done well

oh men you all need to see Jurassic Park in 3D. I WAS APPREHENSIVE TOO but it really does work well, especially with the T-rex attack

March of the Penguins.
I'm a fan of well-shot, well scored and well narrated nature documentaries to begin with. Attaching Morgan Freeman to it is the icing on the cake really. Very enjoyable.

Watched a few scenes again. I'll definitely appreciate this movie even more after a second viewing, but the more I think about it the more I really loved it already. Its stuck with me over the past few days. Has anyone else seen it?

Secret World of Arrietty.
It came on TV, I saw it in theatres..
It's a great film.
Not the best Ghibli film but the animation is amazing.
I've only seen the disney dub but I heard the UK version is a little better and doesn't just shoehorn disney stars in there.

I wanted to see From Up on Poppy Hill but disney dropped the ghibli rights and as a result the theatrical release was limited.
