I wish rise of Skywalker had just been a forgettable movie instead of a dumpster fire I cannot forget.

I'm just going to read more of that duel of the fates plot outline and cry over what could have been

It just feels like Star Wars is just throwing stuff at a wall and hoping something sticks. Mandolrian was pretty good but not amazing to me. The movies have been bad for awhile with the occasional great moment inside the movie. But a great moment doesn’t make a great movie.

A Lando series would be ok? I am more interested in the obi-wan series they are doing.

I have a lot of faith in the Obi-Wan series

I agree Mandalorian was fairly average but could get better. Just such a standard and unexciting plot so far

I am more excited they will be bringing in Ashoka and Boba Fett to Mandolrian. I have faith in the show though to get amazing.

At least solo didn't spend 2 hours saying A New Hope didn't happen

Mal, this.

I think it's all just become too easy and predictable, the Star Wars universe. We want to see some new worlds and characters. Rouge One was so nice because it strayed away from the typical ending. Star Wars saga shows us a ton of cool new worlds and whatnot.

Mandalorian is nice because it's arguably "different".

But a lot of the Star Wars stuff is just a lot of the same now.

The animated stuff is surprisingly decent.

Solo was basically a "How Han got his stuff"' movie.

I felt like tros failed so hard because instead of working with the story given to them they spent the entire movie saying that almost every detail of last Jedi was either wrong or didn't matter and it makes the whole trilogy a mess now. Like other than Luke being dead tros made it so you could completely skip last Jedi and not miss anything.

It would be like if Return of the Jedi was just them explaining to Luke that no Vader isnt really Lukes father that was just a metaphor also Lando is there but instead of doing anything he uses the majority of his 2 minutes in the movie explaining why he shouldn't fight on endor and leaves.

That's what happens when a majority of the "fans" only like Empire and nothing else

Rise of Skywalker was definitely better than Solo haha. Not even a worthy contender IMO

I just physically cringed reading this

not saying much but Solo is the best Star Wars movie Disney has come out with (although would've been ACTUALLY good if Lord/Miller stayed attached I'm sure). Rise of Skywalker is eeeeeasily the worst

it honestly feels like so long since I've actually been excited for a Star Wars property tbh. It's hard to believe I used to be a huge fan of it as a teenager. Even the news today is just like "eh, could be cool I guess"

I'll always remember the experience of having the Star Wars title card pop up on opening night in a packed theater for Forced Awakens and the collective excitement/chills that came along with it, it's what I imagine Phantom Menace felt like on release. Little did I know that'd be the high water mark for the Disney era. Say what you will about the prequels but at least they weren't so forgettable
