I really can't believe after all these years that's how Cersei gets her comeuppance. No good final moment for her, nothing with Tyrion, no final tricks up her sleeve. Lena Headey had NOTHING to do in her final episode. Cersei and King's Landing fell so quickly and anticlimactically

lol he goes off

Quote
Were you disappointed not to have a final scene with [Littlefinger actor Aidan Gillen] last year?
I was very bummed to not have a final scene with him. I was bummed not to have any reaction to him dying, if he was my nemesis. That’s been my feeling the last couple seasons, that my character became more peripheral, that they concentrated on others more. That’s fine. It’s the nature of a multi-character show. It was kind of frustrating. As a whole it’s been overwhelmingly positive and brilliant but I suppose the last couple seasons weren’t my favorite.

well that was a thrilling episode that would've been a classic if half the character motivations made sense

Jaime ends the series way out of character. He already 'relapsed' on Cersei before, doing it again right at the end of the series RIGHT after he spurned her to go save the world makes no goddamn sense

Dany torching King's Landing also comes out of nowhere. At least with that one there was SOME amount of set-up (and it was cool to see the context of the dragon shadow over KL from Bran's vision) but it still ended up feeling p abrupt. Would've probably sat a lot better if we actually spent more time with Dany this episode to get more of her perspective

Cleganebowl actually lived up to the hype, that was perfectly done honestly

Arya should've died

Solid 10/10 episode. This season has been only marred by the wanky people on the internet crying about how they would have written it so much better.

Highly entertaining, everything playing out in true GoT style. Look forward to seeing more entitled salty tears from the fan folk.

It was interesting to see the foreign invasion be everything that the Westeros leadership always told the COMMON FOLK it'd be. Like that's honestly an interesting angle, I just wish it would've been set up properly

The only complaint I have ever had from episode 1 was how rushed things often were. At least they have been consistent. They seem to leave a lot to the viewer to fill in and I like that but it is not in keeping with ‘previously on’ style of programming that is popular now.

I would have liked to see Arya die.

Jaime is displaying signs of being in an abusive relationship that he can’t seem to let go.

‘It will be different this time...’

Having the Red Keep fall on Cersei as she realises she has lost everything is fairly poetic.

They can’t even manage to make Cleganebowl interesting. After all that hype

Again, perfectly done. Quick and dirty, ending with them both dying in fire.

The Arya / Hound comparison through the cinematography was amazing.

I've never in my life felt like I would be able to do a better job than anyone at anything...

Until this show, this season.

Oh. I see why you are mad now.

ehhh! There was not a single interesting thing about their fight outside of him pulling his eye gouge move again. And it ended exactly how everyone could’ve predicted years ago

Hound vs Brienne was the same fight but better and more brutal in every possible way

This is going exactly like I expected after seeing the first 2 episodes.

Watching that dragon torch everything was a 10/10.

Everything else mostly sucked.

I thought it was good from a entertainment stance. Obviously nitpicking wise there was still a lot left to be desired.

- I hated how Jaime’s ARC ended. I just wanted him to be better than he was. I don’t think it was terrible writing on this one, he loves who he loves, I just was bummed. I thought the battle with Euron was really silly. And again just further illustrates the illogical moments designed for a fan hype.

- Cleganebowl felt dull to me. There were no stakes. We knew both would die. It wasn’t even really a fight either.

- I do think dany’s destruction is believable I just wish they would have shown it a little better. It also didn’t help that she didn’t get much negativity for what she did in Mereen. She’s been pulling this shit since Day 1. Also the biggest flaw of the season might be not killing off one of the dragons in the battle of winterfell. Having Euron go 3/3 last week only have to go 0/50 afterwards was just dumb.

- I did enjoy Arya’s scenes and seeing the destruction first hand. But again, based on how this season was going you knew she wasn’t going to die. It would have been funny to see the outrage of giving Arya a random meaningless death. Won’t even start on the horse.

I try not to nitpick because overall I enjoyed it and I have to go into work and say wow cool great to not seem like a loser/negative nancy but it kills me to know it could have been so much better.

Oh and honestly is Bronn even going to show up again? What the heck was the purpose in his two scenes this season.
