Tried to get into the series. Just couldn't. Trying again now. The way it ignores the horrid reality of that whole meth culture really turns me off so far. Maybe it gets better?

it depends on what you're looking for... one of its best episodes is very directly and very tragically about the consequences of the meth trade, and jesse's own addiction is treated with great empathy. but for the most part it's kind of a comic booky show where the lead's superpower is being really good at making meth - it's a very good and very propulsive crime thriller. it also trusts that you'll make your own decision on his morality

i cant imagine they'd make a sequel movie 6 years later to have a bleak ending to the only real hopeful thread of the finale.
