Oh my god, someone else is here. Maybe she can help me. Levi struggles with his feet again before looking up at the woman. Does she have... green hair? No, never mind, that was a trick of the light.

He looks at her pleadingly and gestures to his legs, demonstrating that he can't move them. "PLEASE HELP" he shouts, making his lips as expressive as possible.

Emily, from where you're standing, you can see almost all of the movie theater auditorium, with the exception of the service balcony above you. What you can see is that it has collapsed on both sides of it into the main floor, leaving quite a bit of debris and destroyed seating to your right. The damage on the left side is a lot less severe, and the balcony that has collapsed hasn't quite reached the floor, leaving it slumping and sloped like an access ramp, though you can tell its barely hanging on by a thread.

There is an aisle between you and the lower set of seating, which, from where you are, actually looks relatively new and well kept, especially in the center and closer to the stage.

The stage itself also looks relatively new and maintained, as do the curtains and the screen, which is still playing some sort of old movie. It looks like some kind of romance is playing out, with the young ingénue falling for a handsome older man in a white tie getup. Everything on the screen screams 1920s, from the styles on screen to the film itself.

A dialogue card appears on the screen in a flowery print. "Darling, you're gonna be a star."

The woman on the screen swoons.

You try not to get distracted by that, though, as you see the young man wave frantically, mouthing for you to help him.

The ghost seems to be watching you, but circling protectively around the boy, like a beast around its prey. As it moves, the spotlight from the balcony tracks along with the ghost.

Emily walks down the aisle, toward the stage. She stops when she comes to the aisle separating the first section of seating from the stage area. She keeps her eyes on the ghost and sees it circling its prey, protectively.

In her peripheral vision, Emily can see the damaged seats to her right. She leans down and pulls one of the chair arms.

Emily, you walk over to the air of the chair and pull...


...and almost knock yourself back from the force of the recoil of it. You did not expect that to work as easily as it did. It seems like you don't know your own strength.

The ghost visibly jerks when you do that, all "eyes" on you

On the screen, from the glimpse you get, Emily, it looks like the whirlwind romance has gone sour. The couple are arguing. The woman is crying.

It's pretty melodramatic.

Levi, you feel the presence around you moving and circling, watching you, but more importantly, watching the woman who just ran in here, your would-be rescuer.

And as the presence's focus switches from you, to the woman, you feel the stickiness of your shoes start to lessen. You feel your foot shift,just slightly. You still feel as if you stepped in old soda, but its at a far more normal level.

You're pretty sure you can move again, but the ...ghost? is right there, circling you. You could make a run for it or you could wait for a better opening.

What do you do?

Levi bolts. Hopefully Wonder Woman has a better chance against this thing. He sees a sign for an exit and runs for it, heart pounding.

Levi is very cool.

Levi, known cool guy, you try to run. Emphasis on try. You trip almost immediately as you go to run, the stickiness of your shoes still far stronger than you were expecting. And you recover! You do! But it sends you scrambling and without sure footing.

The apparition tails you, spotlight shifting almost immediately over to you, and with it the ghost. To avoid the beam of the light, you dodge, and get tangled into the curtain on the side of the stage, yanking it and pulling it down with you as you fall, causing the very fancy curtain on that side to fall down on top of you.

While you're tangled up, the spotlight tracks onto you again.

The presence hovers above you, waiting to strike.

Levi, sensing that the spotlight is what traps him, attempts to block out the light with the newly acquired curtain.

You attempt to nuzzle deeper into the curtain you've pulled down and tangled yourself into so you can't see the spotlight and...

...Well... you're not stuck like you were before, at least. You're stuck, because of all the fabric around you, but not like... stuck-stuck. So good job? You've solved the riddle?

After a beat, you feel a hand grip onto you from the outside of the curtain you are still stuck in.

Maybe you haven't fully thought this through.

Emily just catches herself from falling. She looks at the broken theater chair arm. It doesn't look particularly weak.

Must be me. I'm stronger than I thought.

Emily watches the scene in front of her. She has the ghost's attention but its still circling the boy. She sees him make a run for it while the ghost follows. The beam of light seems to move the ghost.

Emily's eyes follow the beam of light up to the spotlight and sees the projector. The balcony is partially collapsed on one side but it looks like she could navigate her way up to the projector area.

Emily moves to her left, heading toward the partially collapsed balcony.
