Tonight I will be attempting pancakes. Last time I did this they were an inch thick. This was the thickness I was striving for:

Next time tell them you were making the American version of pancakes. They will never know the difference.

For breakfast today I ate thin pancakes with pistachio pudding. It was incredible. |

I got food poisoning the last time I ate pancakes and I haven't eaten them since. That was about six months ago...
Edit: Yay, my badge thing changed.

Thought of you when I was cooking and baking earlier today. I tried to follow the recipe for pumpkin pancakes, but didn't like the first couple so I changed it up a bit, and made a bunch of stuffed peppers for the freezer. Made an apple pie and realized my family has never actually written down a recipe for that. The recipes my gram did write include amounts like, dash, little bit of, some, and a lot. :P | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. Pancakes were actually a success! I didn't follow the recipe to the book this time. I halved the measures since it purportedly made 12 and that's a ridiculous number. So I was hoping for six (which seemed to many anyway). The mixture made 4 in the end. There were lumpy bits in it and a few cosmetic errors with the pancakes but they tasted great.
One crumbled in the middle. I don't think there was enough butter to grease the pan with either. Still, a recipe that was largely successful. I will be attempting it again.

Completely off-topic but I always found this hilarious:

The slogan of the grill is "I'm so proud of it, I put my name on it." The fact he did this to his offspring too is hilarious.
