I'm an outdoors guy, so I love the trips I've taken out west through the Rockies, trips to Tenn and trips to the UP in Michigan are my favorite places I been and enjoy the most.
Place I'd really like to get to some time is out East to Maine, Mass., Vermont and NH

I've been to 37 + DC. It's easier for me to list the ones I haven't been to.
Alaska
Gulf Coast States: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida
West Virginia
New England States: New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine
I'll be hitting Louisiana and Mississippi this December on a trip to New Orleans.

Had lunch in Georgia on the way to or back from vacation in Florida
Stayed over night in a hotel in South or North Carolina on same trip, I can't remember which.
And New York. | |

Utah - I live here. I quite like it despite the many joaks we make of it. Moab and the Arches National Park is one of my favorite places to visit and I try to go there at least once or twice a year. A lot of the natural hiking spots and mountain regions are just amazing. I just wish the state wasn't in the form of a Bethesda map where there is absolutely fucking nothing between the major cities.
Nevada - Went to Wendover. Never been to Vegas. It was still pretty fun.
Arizona - Went to Mesa originally to visit Footsies but ended up going to a MNF game instead where me and Mr. C watched the Jets get absolutely massacred by the Cardinals. It was ok, but incredibly hot. Especially for the middle of October. Mr C absolutely despises it for some reason, probably cause he got yelled at for jaywalking.
Colorado - Spent about a month there for my ASM training at Walmart and drove through a few times since then. By far one of my favorite places on the map. Fucking gorgeous. I really want to go out there for a week or two in the summer if I can get someone to want to do it with me.
Nebraska - Drove through, but we did stop at the Great Platte River Road Archway to sight see. Other than that, it felt like it took forever to drive through and was mostly just boring plains the whole time.
Iowa - The only thing I remember about Iowa during my drive through is that there was about five or six wrecked trucks on the side of the road.
Illinois - I got pulled over here for having a scented tree hanging from my rear view mirror as I was apparently "hiding the scent of something". It promptly turned me off from visiting Chicago or anyplace else.
Indiana - Stayed overnight here twice. It was pretty eh both times.
Ohio - Went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Really enjoyed it. Surprisingly cool place.
Pennsylvania - One of my favorite places to go, especially when I was a kid. I loved camping out in the Poconos.
New York - Pretty much has everything there is to offer no matter what your hobby may be. I'm not a fan of NYC but Long Island is incredibly. The Catskills and upstate NY in general is really lovely and I do see myself moving back there years down the line. I got very homesick when I was visiting there in May. There's nothing quite like it.
New Jersey - Went to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. We stayed at a hotel that smelled like mildew. It was fucking gross. And the factories along the highway smelled awful. Palisades Interstate Parkway, however, is the most beautiful highway drive I ever been on.
I went to Logan for a date last week and may as well have been in Idaho.
Colorado is probably my favorite next to New York. |

Visited:
Arizona - visited the Grand Canyon. It was ok
California - visited a bunch of places, I remember liking Universal/Hollywood Wax Museum the most
Florida - been a bunch of times, Disney World has definitely been the biggest highlight
Georgia - visited like some old towns I think? Meh
Illinois - been to Chicago a bunch of times since it's a little over an hour away. The pizza's by far the best part. The Bean and the Museum of Science & Industry are p cool too
Iowa - went a few times since my college was right by the border. It sucks
Maryland - went to D.C. and visited the usual landmarks. I was pretty young though so don't remember it that well
Minnesota - have relatives up there and also interned there for a summer. Basically just a classier version of Wisconsin
Montana - nice landscapes I guess?
Nevada - went to Las Vegas, was p cool. Would like to go again sometime now that I'm older (was ~13 when I visited last). Also saw Virginia City during that same trip which I remember really liking
New Mexico - saw some adobes and shit. And I think Montezuma's Well too? Would've been much more interesting if I had visited after Breaking Bad came out so I could see those locations
Ohio - visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame, p neat
South Dakota - enjoyed it much more than I thought I'd enjoy visiting a Dakota. Visited Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands
Texas - been to San Antonio, Dallas, Brownsville, and South Padre Island. The latter was the only interesting/fun one
Utah - visited Salt Lake City, literally all I remember is the sheer amount of homeless people. Also visited the Salt Lake, apparently on the wrong side cuz there were dead bird and fish skeletons EVERYWHERE
Washington - visited Seattle last year for an interview, really enjoyed my couple of days there. Wanna go back sometime
Wisconsin - hey I live here. It's ok
Wyoming - visited Yellowstone, was amazing. Favorite place I've ever visited
Visited but nothing sticks out:
Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia
Only passed through:
Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Virginia
Have not been to:
Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont
^ so pretty much the deep south, the non-continentals, and the northeast

Alaska, Hawaii, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, California, South Dakota, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico, Arkansas, Washington, Nevada, Alabama, Idaho.
19. I may have missed one. Didn't do ones that I just drove through (would bump it up to 23?). Some I didn't necessarily stay over, but I spent the day in the state. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
