I'd be ok if the episodes we're 2 hours long and we just got more of these conversations between characters who haven't spoken to each other for 7 seasons before. Each interaction has been gold.

lol I hated most of them, they were so forced. It was poo writing

"Hey you, shall we remind the audience how we're connected?"
"Sure, allow me to begin!"

And then they just fall back into line and a different pair comes forward to do the same thing. Not only did it happen over and over in a 10 minute stretch alone, but its been happening ALL season more than any other

It makes more sense for people who haven't seen each other but the worst are people who haven't even met but have an acquaintance in common who happens to come up

I just want scenes of Tormund interacting with every remaining living character. Tormund and Bronn please?

I was also a big Thoros/Berric fan. I love their whole partnership and the way they compliment each other. So while Thoros wasn't an enormous loss storyline real estate wise, it no doubt bothered Berric and that makes me sad.

I did not want it to happen but had Tormund died there being dragged under the ice I would have been properly horrified.

Was the snow bear a small nudge towards Varamyr? Thats what popped into my mind!

I forgot that Varamyr had a bear too. I know they already had a character (Orell) that filled his purpose in the show but I like to think it is a nod to him. Now I need to see a monstrous bad ass boar wight as a nod to Borroq.

They should've had Anguy there and had him get dragged under the ice. I wonder why they just wrote him out

Apart from the whole time issue with Gendry/Raven and Jon and crew chilling on the island, I enjoyed the episode quite a bit. Though it felt a bit like a fast and furious movie. All star cast, bad ass action and one small main character death that you all knew was coming. Though I will say I did think for sure Tormund was being dragged under so they got me there.

pretty much echo all of this. I've accepted since around S5 that this is what GOT is gonna be like now (pacing/depth-wise), now that they're zooming towards the ending after running out of book material. And this episode was a p great thrill ride even though there's a lot you could poke holes in, most obviously the fact that Jon and crew didn't freeze to death by the time Gendry reached the Wall/the raven reached Dany/Dany reached them. They would've had to be there for DAYS unless ravens/dragons fly as fast as jets. I don't really get why they didn't just have Dany chilling at Eastwatch just in case before the crew went out, would've fixed a lot of those problems. And they could've added more drama to whether Gendry would make it back since he'd be the only variable deciding if Dany can save them

Best part of the ep was the traveling in the first half honestly, mostly cuz I fully expected Jon & crew to just show up at the White Walker camp at the beginning of the episode. It was nice they let the journey BREATHE a little this time

That last one is pretty annoying and they lean on it way too much. Otherwise stuff like Jorah and Thoros reminiscing about the battle of Pike doesn't bother me at all, it's part of the great thing about all these characters converging now. I get what you mean about how rapid-fire/inorganic it was but I think that's part of the bigger problem with this season in general

also, when's the last time a major, beloved character actually died? Hodor? Thoros was like the only member of the party I'd consider non-major. GOT is losing its TEETH! As much as I like him Tormund should've died there. Although I did kinda laugh at his KC-like "HELP ME!" followed by The Hound helping him up L4D-style

I cannot believe the writers sat in the writing room and felt like the Gendry-Raven-Dany-Jon timeline was acceptable. HUH???????????????

How did none of them protest that. They literally must've just said "whatever" because there's no explanation for it adding up at all

The writers gave up long ago any pretense of sticking to the geography of the world. I think the Wall and Dragonstone are supposed to be 100s of miles apart

I choose to believe that ravens and dragons can travel at supersonic speeds.

This show really isn't good anymore :(

I don't care what happens to any of these characters anymore.

Despite that, it is still very entertaining and I look forward to it every week. The actions sequences are stellar. IMO, the less dialogue the better (with exception to the Hound calling people cunts...more of that plz)

At this point I just want to watch people get burnt to death by dragons.
