Well my mom swears that a ghost/spirit talked to me and her in our kitchen when I was like, 2 or 3.

Apparently I remembered it the day after, I don't remember it now.

Kinda feel like I would remember something like that, I'll put it as plausible, which is not an option.

I am a bit of an agnostic as I have said before, so I don't necessarily believe in souls and the like. I have had some quite unusual experiences, though, which I then try to rationalize. So my theory is that most "ghosts" seem to be generated by strong emotional responses (murders and the like) and that all thought processes are essentially electrical in nature. Just like when you have a strong electromagnet that magnetizes something, a strong emotional energy burst can potentially "align" the polls in a certain area/object so that the emotional energy remains "mirrored" there. Thus why ghosts are often limited in what they can do and where they can travel to their "home" locations.

I haven't really seen any evidence of ghosts and I don't see how they can be real. I'm usually a skeptic of things that I can't see.

But I was scared of the dark as a kid and I was also scared of ghosts. My parents had to roll down the curtains in my bedroom because I thought there was a scary evil looking ghost staring at me through the window. I think you're more impressionable as a kid so that probably explain it. Every time I saw ghost documentaries late at night as a teen, I thought I heard whispers in the wind, but those are the only times I thought I heard something so it must be related. Probably made my brain think ghosts were real.

Although it would be pretty cool if they were real though.

As I said, my first inclination is disbelief until proven otherwise, but I've had some bizarre events that are hard to explain otherwise. A whole lot of them. Thus, I stand with trying to find a rational explanation for the experiences. Stuff like a young girl's voice that comes out of nowhere in an apartment, electronics unplugged in a place that is difficult to get back into, items broken that nobody had access to, and strange events like mysterious fires that lead to graveyards in the night. But that's a *much* longer story.

So again, I lean more towards thee "there is something out there commonly referred to as ghosts, but there is an explanation for it. I just don't have that explanation yet."

I got a chain email in middle school that said whenever your pet stares off into the distance and you don't know why, it's because they can see ghosts in the room, and that if I didn't forward the email said ghosts would murder me in the night.

Normally I shrugged off chain emails, but this one stuck with me for about a week because what was my dog actually staring at with her ears up?


That said, after a week I went back to believing ghosts were fake and chain emails were/are TRASH.
