Some of the best stuff to come out of the west coast in a while. I think this is the album that I've listened to the most this year and has had the most replay value for me. I don't think there is a song on it a don't enjoy. Many are on my Bangerz playlist. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it, instant classic. YG has had some good songs here and there but he really elevated to another level, the crispiest production and dope bars. Lots of creative wordplay and all the lyrics pack a punch, does a good job of telling a story. Lots of good messages about police brutality, racial conflict, stories of the streets, this album has it all tbh.
The most intense/dark album of the year. No way did I think he'd ever top XXX but this album really delivers. His spitting is just savage. Like a coked/mollyd up experience. His flow is just insane, its def an album you have to listen to multiple times to get everything out of. He just packs so much in to each song and the beats are insane. Each song is great and offers something different

Thank god I was lazy and procrastinated, this album closed 2016 off with a bang. It really came out of nowhere, Injury Reserve is a hip hop group from Arizona. Yes, Arizona, the most random ass place in the world for hip hop. This is there 2nd album, I enjoyed their first one, but it was nothing ground breaking. But in this tape they really raised the bar IMO. First, I think they are really hard to define into a region. You can tell west coast, southern, and east coast influences in all of their songs. They do a really good job of showcasing their wide range of talent. They have bangers on here as well as smooth jams, some west coast beats, and auto-tuned used very well, it could put Future to shame! This album has hands down the best production of the year. The take a lot of risks with their production and musically that really pay dividends. I showed this album to my buddy that doesn't even listen to hip hop and he loved it. Really great project, I love it front to back.
