those last 5 minutes was some of my favorite TV ever. My god that was good

So much to unpack from this episode. I liked Maeve's storyline somewhat more, mostly because of the twist with this being Ford's idea all along. I wonder if her leaving the train was intentional though? It does fit with suffering being the biggest motivator for the hosts, but iirc the last part of her narrative was entitled "Mainland"

The Samurai World reveal did make me pretty excited, but I just hope it doesn't lessen the impact of Westworld and make everything that was going on there less special. But I'll assume that Nolan/Joy know what they're doing. I'm guessing we'll see Dolores breaking the hosts out and liberating those other worlds next season? Even if that's the case I'm still pretty curious how there's enough material for 5 seasons here

In the end, a character named Robert Ford gets shot in the back of the head. HOW FITTING. That had to be intentional

Or was it a host he made of himself? The one from the underground lab?? Hm?????

Honestly kind of disappointed by the revelation that Maeve isn't truly sentient. I'm happy with Dolores being the one though. It doesn't feel cheap like Maeve would have been, I just wanted a happy ending for her.

Also lol. Knew Maeve wouldn't leave as soon as the girl was on the train with her.

I like that.

Also, although a lot of this show's twists were somewhat predictable, Ford being pro-Hosts was actually surprising for me.

It was set up along that Ford was the bad guy and wanted to control the hosts for his own little world, and Arnold was the one trying to set them free. I really liked that Ford saw the flaws in Arnold's plan, and was playing the long-game all along.

William's smile after being shot by a host was great too, finally something real for the MiB!
