Just binged the first 7 episodes of this show at my buddies who has hulu. Liked it a lot surprisingly! Really was expecting something sitcomy and super touchy feely but this delivered. It really does a good job of balanced emotion, narrative, "the message", and comedy. The main guy (Donald Glover) really just feels like a narrartor at this point, I'm way more invested in Paper Boi. I'm really interested to see where it goes, it was a really smooth watch. The only minor complaint I have is the show sometimes tries to really hammer a message (police brutality, insane people shouldn't be in prison, etc.) with a really surface level way. It's pretty minor, that Toucan commercial really got me, I was convinced it was a hulu commercial until he was getting beat.
