Arkham Horror keeps coming up on Tabletop simuator. What is it Lamps? |
It's a cooperative game, you play against the board. You will have to fight monsters (rolling dice depending on the weapons that you collected), do encounters, visit "the other world", and collect trophees. If you fail to do so, at some point the big monster (the ancient one) will awake and you will have to fight them (hard).
There are many expansions that make the game even more interesting. The whole game is kind of crazy, like i keep asking myself who thought of putting so much detail into it. It has a story, a bit fantasy-esque, and so many elements.
It's probably best to play it with someone who has played it before.

Another on my list is Magic: Arena of the Planeswalkers, which is included in the game sale at amazon but I gave it as a Christmas suggestion. |

I love Settlers of Catan too.
If you guys love Mafia/wolf you'd love One Night! It's so simple, we played it with some people that were hardcore gamers and others that never played many games and it was fun for everyone and easy to understand. It's a board game but there's also an app on your phone that acts as the narrarator so everyone can close their eyes and the game can play out. It's like mafia with only one round, it's good shit | Winner of 11 Courses of Thanksgiving

Killer bunnies is hands down the greatest card game ever. Has anyone ever played it? |
I've been adding most of these at Amazon but I'm not sure what I would even start with for Killer Bunnies. I gather the Odyssey games are different than the original but then almost everything else is considered a booster. Any chance you could help me with a link to a basic game? | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart. |

I like Munchkin the Boardgame.
It's similar to Labyrinth (set up), only weirder. Find treasures, draw cards, fight monsters for every new room you discover.

Its an old game and kind of hard to find (apparently). It was on amazon for like 250 bucks. Which while fun is not worth it.
I've never played the Odyssey (newer version) but I imagine it would probably be pretty fun! | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Twilight Struggle is easily my favorite board game. 2 players playing out the cold war. It's also rated at the #1 board game of all-time by the leading authority (boardgamegeek.com).
For more family-oriented fun, I'd definitely recommend any of the Ticket to Ride games (other than Marklin - that variant is just dumb) and Dominion (plus expansions - deck-building type game).

Gonna try out One Night and Pandemic soon.
On TTS, I like playing Resistance and a little homebrew D&D.
I also DM a small group irl, including Mal, Shiki, and spidermanda.
