Ohmygod... AO got beat by SJDS?
So, was it casuals that voted? Cause no die-hards would put a 21+ season (besides 25 and 28 maybe) above Australia.
I'm a part of alot of extremist diehard Survivor groups on FB (you know what I mean, practically FE but with more informed crazy people) and they would legit go on a witch hunt for all y'all bitches if they saw this, no joke!! They praise the shit out of Old School, I think every normal die-hard does as well. Because it really is good.
I'm calling recency bias on this. And plus half the voters haven't even seen Australia. So yeah...
I'm obviously pissed. So let me have this post for my rant.

Ah Lamps, sometimes I wish I could go back to those innocent times as a Casual. It only lasted a week though. But then I remember how much fun I have talking to fellow Survivor fans in-depth. And then I'm proud to be a diehard again. :-) | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

So do die-hards have nostalgia bias then?

Yeah, but doesn't everyone have bias towards the beginnings of a passion of theirs? | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

I mean I consider myself a die-hard survivor fan for seasons I've watched. I basically know them inside out. ~Some~ of the older seasons bore me though which is why I haven't bothered watching them. (Africa/Thailand) Does not help that I know a lot about boot orders because of ORGs etc. I might try and watch Marquesas sooon though.

I agree that I think Australia >>>>>>> SJDS but I can see why it lost. If you enjoy the strategy side of Survivor then the earlier seasons didn't really offer as much of it. It was mainly about the people rather than the blindsides or stuff like that. Australia in my opinion is a top five cast of all time

I think that's what it is - I really like the strategy side but I also love Natalie and that's a big part of it. I don't think it has to do as much with whether someone is a "die-hard" fan or not and that's up for interpretation anyway. Just like opinions, they're not all going to be the same.

Oh I know that, I meant more that it's common that old school gets more love than new school with die-hard fans. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'
