in. damn majora's mask....never got the sun mask....mindfuck'd |
That darn couple's mask. Even using the strategy guide walkthrough it took me an inordinate amount of time to get it, and even then it wasn't really worth the effort. |
The couple's mask is a pretty big letdown with regards to a reward but standing in the room with them as they prepare for their destruction is one of the deepest and most emotional things I've ever seen a Zelda game do. |
this.
It was worth it just for that moment. My favorite part of that game tbh

lol thos masks. i had them all....just that god-damn sun mask was missing...and i couldn't figure out how to get it. until this day really...lol. i haven't tried a guide or walkthrough on youtube or anything.
the mask was there to see, pretty sure on that. through a window or something you could see it, it was like a facial piece attached to a knight's armor iirc. i always saw it and couldn't get ot it...i think you had to be at that motel at a certain time, and it involved a letter or some item i had to pass, to a woman i think. to the lady behind the counter in the motel lobby maybe. lol naw, that sounds too easy, past me would have solved that puzzle like "psssh, done"...there was more to it, waaay more i think (:
the riddle of my life...lol...i refuse to just google/youtube the solution like that now. it would ruin the mystery that stayed alive and somewhat "magical" for over a decade...maybe i'll give that game a replay some day....some day...and then i'mma find this sun of a bitch sun mask...*shakes fist*

Hmmm...so, I've never actually played Majora's Mask. But what the hell, I'm still in. |

You know Helios is scum when he summarizes everything and then adds to the discussion by picking out one random sentence someone says and writes an italicized diatribe about how it's curious and he really, REALLY wants to know more about it.
"What did you mean by this, though? You are eating a biscuit? A BISCUIT???? Seems a little farfetched to me. Really gonna need to hear more about this biscuit situation." | Yes
With some form of over the top, “Wait, what the actual fuck?!” thrown in
| A biscuit? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Say it with me... inactive biscuit is still biscuit. And my key to victory. |

I'll play as much as I can but like always I'm sure the day will end right after I get home so I won't be able to post much on it.

I really need to play Majora's Mask. Everyone I knew IRL (well, everyone I knew that would have an opinion of the game) back in the day said it was bad. Then I find out the internet loves it. Not that long ago I read that screenshot of the forum where some guy was making a case for Majora being the greatest Nintendo villain ever. It was a very strong, spoilery case, but it finally made me want to play it. I'm going to buy it off of the Wii shop or whatever sometime soon.

Majora is by far the deepest and darkest Zelda game ever created. It's one of a rare few that goes above and beyond the standard Zelda plot to do it's own thing. It's up there amongst the likes Link's Awakening.
Though whilst Link's Awakening gets critical praise, Majora's Mask often gets left by the wayside which is a big shame. It goes to some territories that most Zelda games don't dream to.

true dat porl. the world felt way bigger than in ocarina of time, and the environment was offering vastly more you could do. i just recalled some horse-race at a ranch with "molotov" cocktails being thrown around...or maybe it were fire-arrows that were being shot around...or maybe it was just ghost spirits souls that were riding one of the carriages...and so it looked flashy and so on..
i also recall that when you put on th gorone mask, you can roll uphill towards some ice palace or something. gotta do a crazy leap to get there...or do some crazy diving quest to save the swimming people from becoming extinct, you know...they were called azoris i think
that whole the "world" is going to end because the moon is crashing down scenario was giving a very good vibe. the feeling of running out of time. there was lots of "chaos" in the last remaining days/hours, on all corners you'd go you'd find a certain party struggling with something, and being the kind soul you are you always offer to help...of course hoping to get a mask in return.
i rly have to give it a replay some day

Yeah the world is a lot more interesting I think. The whole Ikana valley section is so dark and creepy. Most worlds are though. Ocarina feels sunny and colourful in comparison. Everything in Majora feels drab and depressing but it gives it a nice touch.
