Fargo
no but really, carnivale is really good. i was gonna host a mafia based on it before i realized how complicated it would be to fit that within the rules of mafia. | nav is ugly and i am pretty |

Deadwood. Probably one of my favourite shows of all time!
Carnivale is great too, if you are interested in something a bit wacky with a mystery that actually gets answered!

I'd vote but Glee isn't an option. |

Voted for Carnivale. I only watched the first few a while ago but I remember liking it. I think it's definitely your kind of show |
John's recommendation? |
Yes, I consulted with John before making my recommendation

Sopranos, Six Feet Under, or Oz.
Sopranos is fantastic. Excited that they're finally releasing a blu ray boxset in the next few months.
X-Files is p. cool too but I voted for the shows you can't watch on Netflix since you're shelling out for HBO.

Does it? I read last night that it doesn't really (cancelled I think?). Most of the reviews compared it to Lost but said unlike Lost, it's maddeningly slow and takes a very long time to get anywhere, and maybe doesn't even get there? IDK IDK! I'm still really curious about it. But if my Wikey says it gets answered......then I believe him
Ended up watching the Carnivale pilot and then the Six Feet Under pilot last night. I had seen the SFU one before a few years ago. Carnivale had some cool moments that drew me in, but overall hasn't really grabbed me yet. I'm sure it takes awhile
SFU pilot was great. The dark humor is hilarious, I burst out laughing at a handful of scenes. There are very sudden and unexpected funny moments. I hope the whole show keeps that up
Probably gonna end up sticking with SFU for now

Voted for X-Files, Boardwalk Empire and Deadwood.
Deadwood is up there with The Wire. I have only seen the first season. One of my friends really recommended me Boardwalk Empire.
And if you haven't seen X-Files you have missed something. It's possible that the show has aged though, but give it a shot.
