1. breaking bad
2. the wire
3. knight rider (from the 80's, fuck that remix spin off) | Breaking Bad above the Wire?
Your opinion etc. I just wonder what edges it over for you. |
the optic and the slight surrealism I guess. heisenberg rising up etc. the wire was "just" real to the core, cold steel. breaking bad is more of a rollercoaster. | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

1. Seinfeld
2. Tales from the Crypt
3. Criminal Minds
Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Wire would be too easy to pick. Seinfeld, too, but I will watch episodes of if I've seen a hundred times over anything else.

I developed a habit/sickness where I fell in love with USA's Law and Order SVU marathons. That lead me to Criminal Intent, and then to NCIS. Finally I found Criminal Minds and it took everything I loved about the other three and crammed it into nearly every episode.
Plus they had George Costanza on as a bad guy with a flowing white mane of hair, so that pretty much made my life worth living again.

Srsly. At any given point in the day you can rest assured an ensemble cast is tracking either a rapist, a murderer, or a jack of both trades on ION or USA. This may also be the first time ION has ever gotten any press/promotion on the internet. I tried to watch CSI but I couldn't get into it. Except for the episode about murder and debauchery at a furry convention. "Shit was hilarious."

LOST is a hard one for me to rank. I actually wrote "any criteria" because I knew if I said "best ever" than LOST & Dexter both would have had a hard time making the list.
Six Feet Under, to me, is the most complete show from start to finsih I've ever seen. It's hard for me to find an episode I don't like. Couple of character arcs might be not as great but it's just a great character story about life and death. For anyone that's never seen it or heard of it I would free-tv-project it (not on netflix)
LOST seasons 1-4 was my obsession. The first time I've ever had one for TV, really. It makes the list out of respect for those great years that I had on FI as well (<3). Without that experience, it probably drops off.
If How I Met Your Mother ends with a satisfactory ending - I believe it will slide up. There's a lot of shows that I could think to put ahead of Dexter. Criminal Minds. Veronica Mars. Californication. Entourage. But even a couple of Dexter's "poor" seasons - no other show is like it (that I've seen) and I just love Michael C. Hall. | "They come. They fight. They corrupt. They destroy. It always ends the same." |

The thing with CSI is the cast is just... not very likable. I've seen about 10 episodes of miami and 15 episodes of CSI the one in vegas, and in each of them i could tell you 1 character and possibly recognize an actor if I see them on. I know Caruso and I know Grissom, and I don't know either of them because I thought they were engaging, likable characters. That plus 11th hour, never-hinted-at twists in the case of the day make it a really unwatchable show for me. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r
