what a cute ep for the most part! Knew some shit was gonna have to go south by the end, the team was getting too happy-go-lucky. Adebayo going ahead with planting the diary was way more brutal than the ending. Though it seems like she's less assuming her role as Waller's daughter and more just too scared to defy orders. Either way p sad :( I liked the scene of them together before that
knew that escaped gorilla was gonna come into play somehow (: The whole sequence in the factory was p fun. The x-ray kills were a NEAT idea |
iirc Gunn said ep 6 was his favorite of the show so that's p exciting

Good ending! Agreed that her planting the diary was sad. I totally forgot that she was on that mission until he went to the bathroom and she started to go through with it so it was a bit crushing, she had me fooled!!
Major Guardians and Suicide Squad vibes with the team starting to bond, that was nice

| kinda confused about the diary thing tho. So Waller told her to plant it, which paints Peacemaker as a crazy person who killed an innocent senator's family for no reason...which ultimately the butterflies take advantage of. So is Waller a butterfly then?? Not sure what it was SUPPOSED to accomplish otherwise |

Yes Eagly made me laugh a lot this episode too. That was mad funny.
Regarding the diary I don’t think it had anything to do with setting up Peacemaker as murdering the senators family. I think it’s full of Butterfly language that’s making it looks like Peacemaker is the leader of the good butterflies even though we know that’s actually whatever his name is the black guy. Waller knows Peacemaker is expendable so I think she’s trying to draw out the evil butterfly queen so either Peacemaker kills it or the team can figure out where it is to stop it. They’ve really been hitting hard on the whole “Waller thinks everyone is expendable” on multiple episodes so that’s my best guess! |

that moment with Eagly hugging Peacemaker while Adebayo watched on was like the quintessential Gunn scene. Weirdly emotional despite the absolute absurdity of it all. Harcourt saying goodbye to Murn's butterfly was kinda along those lines too
the White Dragon plot ended up being kinda w/e tbh. Vigilante could've died there, he still does pretty much nothing for me

Really liked it. Loved the Economos dye beard scene. Thought either he was gonna die there or thought for suuuure Vig as gonna sacrifice himself torpedoing into the cow. Glad everyone survived
Great fight scene with the trio outside the barn. I was also convinced that Peacemaker was gonna see Goffs side of the story and decide to help, only for Adebayo to launch herself into it and ruin everything
Weird that Goff was just allowed to live and is allowed to freely fly around. I don't really get it. What's to stop it from infecting Peacemaker or anyone else!
Loved the Justice League cameo. I was surprised they actually got two of them. Feels like two totally different universes lol
The ending was good, looks like Robert Patrick is sticking around in ghost form. I wanted a biiit more from the ending because Gunn always nails them but it was still solid. I thought we would at least get THE DETATCHABLE KID!
Great first season, lots of fun. Gunn remains comic book movie king. Excited for s2
