"Again" - rock song... bit generic... not bad
"All Your Love" - chill song... nice... yeah I like
"Are you dead yet?" - gave it exactly 5 seconds, awful
"That Day" - Goddess <3
"Lucky" - quite ok
"The Call" - ooh I like. Really love Regina, but would never listen a whole album of hers.
"Dear Winter" - hmm it's ok
"Gayatri Mantra" - ok i fell asleep listening to this... it's... ok
Again - It's not bad. I agree with Lamps that it's got a very generic rock sound. I could maybe listen to it again.
All Your Love - I guess this song is good for driving to, or playing in the background while you're working on something, but I wouldn't listen to it just to listen to it.
Are You Dead Yet - oh. what a sharp contrast to the last song. It's loud. And he's a screamer. All this genre of music sounds the same to me. I would imagine it's the same when fans of rock and metal music listen to other genres lol But I listened to the entire song. It went by pretty quick.
That Day - Natlie Imbruglia has more than one song? :P By default, I'd rank it higher than the first 3. But it's still a decent song. I just wish there was more singing.
Lucky - this was my submission, so I already like it. And it appears in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayers, which boosts its value to me lol
The Call - Nice. I've heard a few Regina Spektor songs before that I liked. Now there's another one.
Dear Winter - oh, this was not what I was expecting. Yeah, it's a nice little song. And I was intrigued by the story.
1. Spin - Black Stone Cherry "Again"
--This is a new band to me, but I've been hearing this song on the radio a lot recently. It's growing on me the more I hear it.
2. Maddie - Flight Facilities, Dustin Tebbutt "All Your Love"
--Not a bad song. I prefer the parts of the song that are a bit faster. I won't be adding it to any of my saved lists, but wouldn't skip it if I heard it come on randomly.
3. Merc - Children of Bodom "Are you dead yet?"
--And we've taken a complete 180 from the last song. Also, not a bad song. I like the music but the vocals may be just a touch scream-y for extended listening.
4. Lamps - Natalie Imbruglia "That Day"
--ROFL, and we are once again taking a huge turn from one song to another. A very meh song for me.
5. Christian - Bif Naked "Lucky"
--I feel like Maddie, Lamps, and Christian all got together and decided on a common theme for this list with these song choices. Not sure I could pick a favorite (or least favorite) among them.
6. Mal - Regina Spektor "The Call"
--Add Mal to the list from above. Probably my least favorite of the group, just because of how slow and quiet it was.
7. Ahoda - AJR "Dear Winter"
--Don't think I've ever heard of AJR before. I can't tell if this is a joke song or a real song. Strangely, I think I like it better than the 'group of 4' above.
8. Wikey - Deva Premal "Gayatri Mantra"
--I gave this song 90 seconds, looked, saw it was almost 10 minutes long, and said "fuck no".
If I don't vote for my own, I guess I'd pick Merc's and Ahoda's songs. Really, those are the ones I picked? Ok.
