Hell yeah it was. I'm very displeased with the general public for causing it to flop.

Didn’t the original flop hard too?
I can see why people wouldn’t like it, since it wasn’t nonstop action like lots of the blockbusters

What's funny is that the original didn't do well at the box office either, and became a bit of a cult classic. I think that was one problem, since there is less incentive to view a movie if you may have not seen the original. Also, the group of original BR fans who aren't in a rush to see this one. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

Okay Curtis, here is my essay:
|
I liked it. The gore was at least interesting gore. I'll just say that first because when I first saw that... THING on the table when they brought it back to their research station, it was pretty gross. But I liked how it was different every time depending on who it was trying to imitate and in what stage the process was.
I was really upset about the dogs being killed and that first dog getting infected. :(
The suspenseful music was lol but it was 1982 so I can't be too picky about that. Also all those fires not burning the place down and MacReady walking away from that final explosion. Okay. I was surprised by how big it got at the end, though.
Other than that, I liked not knowing who was infected and the way MacReady finally figured out how to test for it. I think I shrieked/screamed a couple of times, once during the first "positive" blood test. (: It also kept me guessing - at first thinking Doc was infected, then thinking he wasn't. Thinking MacReady was, then he wasn't, then he was, etc.
The ending was good, kind of funny tbh.
Overall, I'd give it least a 7.5/10 |

Love the movie. The original short story is also good (John Campbell's "Who Goes There?"). This is actually the second adaptation of the story, the first being a 1950s film. The 2011 prequel is pretty bad. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

We watched The Nice Guys last night. Pretty funny, Gosling does great as a drunk private eye. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I watched a movie called Mr right with the girl from pitch perfect in it. It was ridiculous, but hilarious.

Anna Kendrick? She seems cool.

Watched the second half of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert starring Hugo Weaving, Terrence Stamp, and Guy Pearce as drag queens. Funny as hell, especially since you can't help but go "Damn- Agent Smith has gone waaaay undercover to catch Neo this time!" |
We watched the first half of this now. The kids watched with us and now have a deeper understanding of drag queen culture. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

Zersch I finally saw Brigsby Bear and I loved it. Kyle kills it. It's so great to see the mannerisms from a lot of his oddball Good Neighbor characters pop up here, he's such a natural at it
Definitely won't land for people who aren't into his style of humor and it helps to know his/Dave McCary's backstory a bit and Kyle's obsession with 80's/90's pop culture

Is it somewhere that I could watch it today (streaming, VOD etc) or did you see it in a select theater?

Watched Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2 last night.
Had never seen them before. They were alright, but probably won't ever watch them again.
