Miller may be the ONE role you claim in your first post of the game. Better to get that out there than have the cop reveal themselves early in the game because they investigated you. At that point, you've basically traded your life for the Town Cop, and scum wins all over the place.

That's part of the reason why I was working under the assumption it was a hidden role.

Won't be around much this morning. Read Vic posting every other post tunneling on me. The reason I voted for Titan. He wanted to get voted out. At the wire it was he, Miko, Wikey all close at that point. And I can't afford to get a tie. Why? The disadvantage I received from the Walker TF is that any ties result in me being lynched. Regardless of who is involved. In hindsight, I should have voted Miko, but I didn't know the counts at the time or even that a random vote would pop up.

I was posting relatively accurate counts at the end. Bullshit excuse saying you didnt know.

Agreed. Miller is a bastard role and it should be hidden. If you're told your first post should be that you're Miller. Here will be in the crosshairs and fucking this game until he's dead.

I'm completely against claiming D1 regardless of your role, and if I had survived an attack instead/or right next to Redster then me not claiming would've worked out better. Although, given the circumstance we're in atm I'm most certainly gonna claim right off the bat if given a role like this again lol.

99% of the roles, I'd agree claiming is dumb on day 1. However, Miller serves only to screw with the town, so it's best to let people know about it right away.

I take that back. The number is lower than 99% as there are other roles that should definitely claim on D1. Roles like Godfather, Mafia Goon, Serial Killer, Cult Recruiter, etc.

Idk Herm, idk. I'm inclined to believe you right now. I've never personally been a Miller so I don't really know how it works. But I do think there are bigger fish to fry at the moment. Miko, Dadd, Bryce etc seem like more sure bets to me. I'm still 50/50 on Herm.

Alright guys, just finished catching up in this thread. Here are some of the things that stood out to me.

- At first Miko looked like he was going to try and fight his lynch, but then he all of the sudden just... gives up? His last post in the thread is asking for clarification about what the elephant in the room was. That's an odd note to end a conversation with... seems like he was going to continue to defend himself but may have been told on his scum board not to really bother with trying to protect himself. If that's correct then we were probably on the right track with one of our other suspects at the time (Herm or Dadd could both make sense).

- I'm unsure about Herm right now. On one hand, he could really be the Miller because that role is really hard to play succesfully. However I don't like the defense of 'if I was scum I wouldn't have tried to become mayor and make myself a target'. Being mayor would be really strong in the hands of mafia, and who exactly would they be afraid of targeting them anyways? Obviously the other mafia wouldn't target them. I don't think Vig would want to take out a power role relatively early in the game because there's a decent chance that they're hitting a town role. And the third party could really go either way - if mafia was mayor they'd be happy to be targeted by a Cult Leader as it would count as an attack against a rival faction. I guess there is the possibility that an SK would want to kill the mayor though.

- Dadd's reason for changing his vote last night doesn't make sense. If he was the one who was going be lynched in a tie vote, why would he bring the vote closer to a tie? Miko's flip will tell us what we need to know about him but I am a lot more suspicious of him now than yesterday.

- Bryce's posts still ping my scumdar, but he's soft claiming some sort a power role. If he is telling the truth than he is a very likely kill target tonight for scum so I'd like to hear his thoughts. I don't want to be in the same position tomorrow as we are today with Cannuck.

- I don't like Timmah's idea of switching from Miko to JC right now. I don't know whether or not JC is scum but Miko makes a whole lot more sense.

Anyways, I am not lynching Miko because that could result in a hammer but it's the move that makes the most sense.

Read the last four pages or so. Everything else is pointless. Also note that Vernon had his vote stolen yesterday.

Regarding Herm, I know it seems like the obvious move to immediately claim Miller, but I can actually see why someone might not want to. In fact, most times that I have seen Miller's in games here they haven't done so. (And they always tend to know their role)

For one thing, if you claim Miller Day 1, you might be lynched if no better options crop up. And for another, you can try and draw the Mafia's fire at night whilst they don't know your role. So I could buy this claim.

Also, nobody had a clue what power the mayor role would grant. Anybody who got themselves elected would have been taking a risk. For town the risk is obvious. You may draw the Mafias fire at night. In which case a townie with a shit role been elected makes sense.

And I believe there is a good possibility that Miller is in the game.

tbh if I was miller id probably try to get the mafia to kill me
