Porpoise disguises...big ole catering order for the event could be coming through. Delivery truck unloading supplies earlier in the day. Either someone can disguise themselves as a member of the catering team or the porpoise costumes can be slipped into some crates in the van as they're unloading

"This is it you scoundrels!" Xander yelled from the front seat as he pulled the van onto the side of the dirt road. The back door opened up and all six geese hopped out, both nervous and eager for the mission.
"Now remember." the Commander started. "The target is The Babble. At ANY cost. Get in however you can, locate the device using the x-ray goggles, snag either the device or the animal it's burrowed inside, and get out clean. If Dr. Doomore gets away with this, it's curtains for all of us. You wanna go back to the zoo, Percival??"
Percival shook his head rapidly, his flabby neck bouncing from side to side.
"I didn't think so." Gander said as he tossed the end of his cigar into the woods. "The party starts in less than thirty minutes. Catering van should be arriving on this road shortly if that's still the play for some of you. For the rest, you've got the guest list, roof access, and sewer tunnel. However you can get in, do it."
Nene, Steve, Ryan, Percival, Carmen, and Louis all wished each other luck as they went over their plans once more. The Squawd was ready...for one......last......job...
"Good luck you sons of bitches." Xander said softly as he jumped back into the van. "...good luck."
It's time for THE job! The big one. It will work very similarly as your tutorial job with three major changes. A recap:
Each of you will post your segment of your story, like what you just did. There is NO turn order this time, you can all fire at will. If this was real life, some parts of this heist would require you to wait for others to complete their part of the heist before you can initiate yours. That won't be the case here since turn order would be miserable, so you can play around with non-linear storytelling
Now, for the changes:
1. Roll Call: Each of you will roll 5d6. That will give you FIVE numbers to play with this time, which means everyone will be calling for five rolls aka doing five major actions each. Roll all five of your dice asap and keep your numbers to the side, checking them off as you go. You do not have to assign one number per other player or anything, you can spread them out however you wish.
2. Signature Item: If you recall, I asked each of you to provide your character's signature item during character creation. This item will come into play. One time throughout the heist, you can rely on your signature item to get yourself out of a jam. After you've been assigned a roll, you can increase the result by +1 and take that result instead, but your signature item (story wise) must be instrumental in helping you to succeed a bit more in whatever you were attempting. Note: you cannot go higher than a 6.
For a refresher, Nene picked coke bottle glasses, Steve picked a purple bulletproof vest, Ryan picked a Golden Indestructible Lucky Toothpick, Percival picked a Honkasonic Elite 3880 military-grade laptop, Carmen picked a Canadian goose feather, and Louis picked his grandfather's pocket watch.
3. Flashbacks: Remember....that fateful job? THE job that The Squawd ran that went oh so poorly and resulted in the team splitting up for good...until now? We are going to flashback to that and flesh it out as we go. Everyone gets one flashback that they can post at any moment. You will flashback to that job and narrate what happened to you from your POV. If you are the first to do this, set the tone! Come up with details of the job a bit! Don't be scared, just dive in. Build off of what others have posted about this catastrophic heist and add your own spin to it
But we aren't flashing back to it just for fun, this will have a mechanical element. After you've been assigned a roll by someone else, you can choose to have your character freeze in the middle of their action and post your flashback. When you snap out of it, you can either change your roll result to a SIX or a ONE. You are either going berserk or having a meltdown, nothing in between. You can choose to either learn from the mistake that you made during the fateful job (6), or you can choose to repeat the past and have it haunt you (1). The choice is yours! Do whatever you feel benefits your part of that story and have some fun with it
Here's a slightly updated chart. Because you're posting five story bits this time, that means 3 and 4 are a bit different. For 3, you fail the WAY you were attempting your action, but you aren't totally in hot water yet and can try a NEW way of succeeding in that action, calling for a new roll. For 4, it's the same thing, only you immediately find a new way of accomplishing your goal and can move on. Don't stress too much about this, it doesn't matter much!
And that's it! Read the post I made yesterday about the details of the case if you need a refresher, but still feel free to invent whatever you'd like as you go. I still think with posting times that it's probably best for all six of you to get yourselves involved in different schemes in different parts of the manor, but that's your call. If you want to cross paths with each other and collaborate on a task then feel free
Hopefully five doesn't seem like too much, it does not have to be anything crazy. If it feels like a lot, then just cut back on the length of your normal segments if you think you need to! Feel free to call for a roll, then when you receive one, resolve your action and call for your next roll within the same post. Or you can resolve a roll and end the post there, then post another segment of the story with another roll call whenever. And again, you can also post segments of your story with no roll call while waiting for others if you're bored or just wanna flesh things out more, go wild. Don't feel bad about out-posting other players. And everyone make sure you're assigning rolls whenever you see that someone's been left hanging for a bit
