what brainwash thing? |
I mentioned yesterday that there's a possibility, based on Jackie's role and the location that I went, that she isn't just a jailkeeper as she says, but maybe she's the recruiter who can change people's alignments. I did some research on her role "item" and the place where I stayed the night, and it seems like it could be something like that.
Couple that now with Farlig flipping with a nightly protection
and the choice of targets Jackie's been picking. |
That would men 317 was possibly recruited. And yeah, not to tell anyone else how to play their role but maybe start trying to stop some kills? |
If that last sentence was about me, I've used my actions each night to protect people I thought were town and explicitly stated this reason when questioned on why I picked whomever. |
I know. But may be try to block with it. Especially now that we're getting down there. I'm not trying to criticize because either way can be a good strategy. But, it can be looked at if you keep using it on town, as a question mark, js.

I DO still think it’s a little suspicious that the day after Mal says something good happens if food visits him, a food ends up dead. Maybe it’s a hidden part of his role that the food ends up dying but it does feel a bit like a “FEED ME SEYMOURRR” kinda trap. |
I understand what you mean but if Mal killed Farlig that means mafia killed Wikey and i just don't see that happening. |
eh if that’s the case tho it could have easily been a vig that killed wikey and mafia could have gotten blocked or something
|
This is a possibility at the very least. No other food has come forward as visiting Mal yet.

oh Jackie, one last question for now:
Did protecting Perry ever cross your mind? |
It did, but I didn't think scum would try and kill Perry. I figured a major part of their role was the modclaim so they wouldn't be eliminating a strong PR

I’ll be honest the main reason I don’t think Farlig is the mafia kill is because I think Wikey dying may have been my fault.

I had a role in a game where someone could "jail" someone at night and talk with them and then decide whether they wanted to recruit the or not. I don't see why that's so off. |
that was a role that chose between recruit and kill thought? or was that a different recruiting role? |
Yes, I think so. Was that you? I mean it was my game but I can't remember exactly. :P
The point is, the mechanics of the role could fit a recruiting role.
I would say it's not really likely if Wikey's family doesn't recruit and, looking at the tags and mention of other wincon, etc, I'm probably leaning more that they don't. It's worth keeping in mind, though.

I'm starting to feel like maybe Jackie is a recruiter and it is tag based. For instance, maybe they can only recruit someone with the man, woman, or person tag. But it's just as likely she's a jailer.
As Vern says, today is different than the previous days. Three people say they were blocked/couldn't perform their action, but Jackie's block wasn't one of them, so how does that all make sense? Is there three or four blocking abilities? |
Herm had an ability that made people with a specific tag get blocked if they tried to do something to him. could be more of those are in play.

except we have 2 deaths and no claimed survivals. an extra death like that does not add up.

Yeah I’ve been back and forth on whether I wanted to speak up but we’re off to such a strong start I think town would be FINE if I end up dying tonight.
My role is that I can pick someone each night and all actions made towards that person are transferred to whoever is immediately below them on the player list at the beginning of the night. Last night I picked Ahoda, and Wikey was the person that those actions would transfer to, so the possibility is there that Ahoda was the target and we got Wikey killed instead.

Herm had an ability that made people with a specific tag get blocked if they tried to do something to him. could be more of those are in play. |
"Passive - Feminist Icon - While you are alive, anyone with the man tag that tries to vote for you by the end of the day will have their vote invalidated in the final tally. Additionally, players with the man tag are unable to use killing actions against you (except unstoppable kills). They will be informed that they were blocked if they try to do so."
That last sentence could account for why there are as many blocks as there are. It could also mean some of the past blocks were not actually people getting "blocked" by someone, but by them trying something and hitting up against a role/tag they're not able to perform their action against.
