I will be in a meeting from 3:30-6 central, so I will claim now since things are still up in the air, and then I will be able to check in for the last hour. I am Town Samurai, slightly modified from the version on epicmafia. I have the ability to kill anyone who visits me with the intention to recruit me. Now, clearly, this means that either Mafia can recruit, or else we have a cult of some sort. OR Spin is a bastard and we have Masons and my role was put in the game just to fuck with them potentially. I attempted to be as active as possible, and give off some town vibes early on in order to garner a recruitment attempt from the bad guys, but that did not work as intended.

Okay, so the following is (almost certainly) true: One of Farlig/Primate is Scum. One of 317/Primate/Mittens is Scum. Right?

if Mittens is not scum then i could see both Primate and Farlig being scum, but otherwise i think so.

I think it's a good claim for a few reasons. Not tested yet but counters mine. He's on the list today so countering me may push the focus to the other two. However, at the same time I'm not ready to write off spin putting two similar roles in the game since we still don't know all of the twists involved or factions at play.

I'll try to sneak on during the meeting, but if not see ya'll at 6. I'll be ready for the mad dash at the end, don't worry :)

I think playing follow the carols could be a mistake. Think about how OP that is. Every night someone gets three names and at least one is scum. It narrows things down so quickly and is just handed to us, it's too lame/easy I think

All we know right now is that one of the people on the N1 list was scum which isn't a huge surprise, chances of that if you pick any three people is pretty good. There could definitely be scum on this one too but we don't know for a FACT that that's what it is and that there's no bastard mods to it and everything. I think it could prove to be pretty silly to rely so heavily on the carols

I think it'll be silly to rely on the carols the longer the game goes on since we'll have more and more names, and it will be harder to focus on a few.

Outside of today's list, I'm suspicious of Angi and farlig (if Primate is not scum). And Brian for the fact that two Martians helped vote him into the duel on the first two days. Why wouldn't you want someone from your faction in the duel?

We don't know if the carolers only have so many uses plus they can only sing to people if they don't travel at night. Typically they can't sing to the same person consecutively (maybe spin modified the role to the same person twice). We'd be in a different position if they hadn't gotten lucky N1 and been fed a VT by the martians for N2.

i want to be in the duel because i know i'm a townie and therefore trust that the prizes won't get into the hands of the martians, and because i am statistically more likely to win than lose.
