I haven't even finished the main story neither, my cart, but I SHOULD really do that (:
I am stuck with uncle! obvious RDR vibes is obvious....definitely the last act, so I thought I could take a break there!

and online is really good, very frustrating at times, but mostly good!

That epilogue was like...interminably long by the end. Like it was kinda cool getting to see John be happy with friends/family for kinda the last time, but at the same time this game was Arthur's story and the epilogue went SO long it felt like it was starting to detract from that But that last mission made all the waiting worth it tbh, that was incredible (ALTHOUGH at least one of Charles or Sadie should've died for sure). Dutch having his bit of minor redemption was great

Makes me really wanna play the first one again now. I really wish they'd release it for PC or at least console remastered

The mission with the Cougar in the Cave - one of Strauss' debt collections had me shaking. I was playing it past midnight with the lights off and the anxiety of waiting for the Cougar to come out of hiding was a great feeling. Shortly after that I also did the mission where we have to fend off wild wolves from the weird guy who likes to take pictures of wild animals. That wasn't QUITE as intense since it was out in broad daylight but doing these to back to back was exciting.

Chapter 3 so far has been the most fun. I had stopped playing for a while because Chapter 2 was dragging like hell. Excited to see how the story unfolds!

never played it either, more to do with the story being so long and I wanted to finish that first. I think the story missions alone are ~60 hours for this game but if you add all the side missions/fucking around I did on top of that it had to be around 150 by the time I finished it

Online mode is still in open beta and it launched kinda barebones. It’s like a handful of story missions and some organized pvp stuff, and all the hunting, bandit killing, etc from story mode. They’re adding more stuff, but people are frustrated with how long it’s taken them and the microtransactions for gold bars (even though you don’t -have- to buy stuff with gold). I like it but I went into it knowing it was basic. I really hope they incorporate the random npc encounters and weird Easter egg stuff from story mode. That’s a giant missed opportunity for more content if they don’t.

there's lots of bugs....you either hate it, love it, or you don't care and play from time to times - or you you don't care and simply give up on it/don't play. find yourselves a category! I hate to love it for the shit they failed to fix for half a year now, but i DO love the scenery so much, immersion is incredible on my end...so I ground my way to rank 90.

the beta tag is gone since last tuesday, "massive" world update implemented, "lots of" things have been fixed and ironed out - not entirely bug-free though. the game runs smoothly, definitely comes across with a "fresh" vibe.

CURTIS....IT'S TIME!!!

Finally started picking up multiplayer with a friend.

It.... isn't bad I guess. The biggest problem is the fucking gold bullshit. The whole gold thing kinda soured us both and we ended up playing Overwatch instead. We were excited to do some bounties and then to find you had to pay gold is absolutely ridiculous. Why the hell would Rockstar do that? It severely limits what you can do in the game when you have to unlock shit with gold and the rate of accrual is very, very slow unless you - of course - purchase some with real money! Nah, fuck that.

But yeah, it's pretty much the same as RDR1 with some more to do as far as story missions go. Posse up, attack strongholds, do missions together. I haven't really fucked around with the games at all aside from a race where I got smoked since my horse sucks. I hope CTF is in this, that was my absolute favorite game in RDR1. And so far in my 48 hours of playing, the community is relatively nice. People tend to mind their own business. I only got randomly killed once and I've run into a lot of people. But tbh, I have a lot more fun playing this by myself than with a friend. And maybe that's just because I still enjoy the open world aspects of the game and spending time out in the wilderness alone hunting or collecting. When you're playing with someone, you want to try to keep busy but the missions aren't really exciting enough to marathon. They're just good to earn money.

ON ANOTHER NOTE

I'm replaying the story mode for the first time since last year and BOY did I miss playing this. I just got to the Lenny and Arthur LENNY!?!? mission and forgot how fucking great it was. Also even to this day I'm discovering new things. I had no idea that the doctor in Valentine had a secret backroom you could clear out and rob.
