Lol seriously?
I probably should have known that, but that was my first encounter with being under water for more than the blink of an eye.

Yup, it's a really nice perk. That was one of the biggest reasons I decided to be an Argonian in Oblivion. It was so nice being able to just dive in the water and swim deep until the pursue music stopped. Helps that slaughterfish were so rare (as they are in Skyrim too, really).

I've never felt like a bigger hero than I did just now, slaughtering Grelod that runs the horrible orphanage.
All of the kids celebrating her brutal murder.
Just made five new future thieves guild recruits.

I feel like dragons are avoiding me now. The last two times I've seen one, the shadow has flown past me on the ground and I've heard them and looked to the sky and saw them, but then they just go away and don't attack like they used to.
Maybe I've just been on awkward terrain.

I filled my inventory with nothing but loot to go sell to the fences I have available and was doing laps between them when this happened. The only things I had in my inventory left to use were quest items. Luckily I'd found that sword in some random dungeon and it's a quest objective I can't stash away.
Naturally this would be the first time I got to see a "cinematic" dragon kill.

Gazraka the Argonian has finally cast his die with the Stormcloaks.
Sacking Whiterun was neat, but it could have been a lot more interesting. I was knee deep in dead Whiterun guards in the Jarl's antechamber when I remembered when I started the game I didn't trust Balgruuf's steward (the one you buy Breezehome from) but I was the traitor all along.

"This person is busy."
Understatement of the year.
I loved this storyline. I guess it was one of the DLCs. I dunno how I'm supposed to go back to caring about a snow fort civil war after traipsing through these tentacle filled Lovecraftian hellscapes. And the fact that books were treated as the main loot... it was where my Argonian heart belongs. I wish I could buy a residence in Krosis.

I failed Kodlak. I just kept adventuring around with the severed witch head in my inventory instead of returning to him to cure myself or him. And now he's dead!!! The Companions gathers to remember him one final time.

She gonna have to change that name after I beat the brakes off her ass.

Took a bit of a break, and have been cleaning up.
Joined the Dark Brotherhood, finished that questline. It was pretty cool. Cicero my homeboy. Did the College of Winterhold stuff but couldn't care less about it. Finished out the Hearthfire Vampire stuff - let Harkon cure my lycanthropy by making me a vampire lord, then killed him and cured my vampirism. Currently working on the Oblivion Walker achievement. Only need two more of the Daedric artifacts. Then I will do the Blades stuff, and then proceed with the main storyline and Anduin.

Might finally be time for me to give this another go. I played years ago for like...a week maybe? And really liked it but then my Xbox started shitting the bed
I’d buy it on PC and start all over again, I didn’t get far. Is there a recent remastered version I should be getting?

I owned Skyrim years ago on... one of the consoles, I don't remember which. But I think I played up until getting to the first town/settlement and I stopped and didn't play it again until now. There's so much in the game to do, but the main storyline seems to be pretty short so you are basically able to get whatever you want out of the game.
The remastered/special edition is what you would want to get. Like I said when I bought it, kinda crazy that it's still 40 bucks but it's more than worth it.
