Watched Memento. Pretty solid movie. Enjoyed it quite a bit. 4/5 stars |
That movie is so dank. One of my favorites. |

Did anyone see Boss Baby? My kids want to go see it and it looks awful. Just want to know if I need to keep making up excuses on why we can't go see it. |

Watched Queen of Blood on Comet TV with a young Dennis Hopper. I kept waiting for him to drop expletives, but he just died instead.

All the previews I've seen of it look pretty funny for a kids movie | SFWordsmith.com

We watched Small Apartments last night. It was excellent. Darkly humorous, with aa quick hit of depression near the end. Matt Lucas is usually absolutely hilarious (love him from Little Britain) and this doesn't disappoint.

I watched Patriot's Day over the weekend.
I was kind of unsure about it going into it since the Boston Marathon bombing happened so recently, but they actually did a really good job with it. I felt like they were really sensitive and conscious of the fact that it only happened four years ago.
I wrote a massive paper on the Tsarnaev brothers' radicalization processes for my master's and so I was particularly interested in how they portrayed them in the movie and it was actually totally on point. Good job, Hollywood. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

That's good!
I like the significant focus that was put on the victims, because ultimately that's who we should be thinking of first when we think of events like that.
But damn I forgot how nuts that entire chase for the brothers was. And the whole thing with the Chinese student... Like, how could you not make a movie about that? | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

I watched Raging Bull for the first time ever between last night and this afternoon. Then I googled the movie and Jake Lamotta and was surprised to find out he's still alive (95 years old!). It was cool to see a younger Joe Pesci in his first major role. |
Great Movie | |

We watched part of Chappie but then realized it was just a more depressing Short Circuit.

Edge of Seventeen. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was surprisingly really, really good? Clever writing and overall pretty solid message. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

Watched Ghost Writer. Given all the talent in the movie, it was OK, but nothing great. It could have been really good, but just fell short in a lot of ways. The sex scene was more distraction than useful to the plot. It wasn't gratuitous so much as not played well at all. Ewan's character was just too naive to really work it out well. Not Ewan's fault- bad direction.

Went to watch the new Resident Evil, but the link I was going to watch it on got DCMA killed. By the time I found a new version, the family had already started watching Bloodsucking Bastards. So we watched that again instead. Can't complain.
