I watched Raging Bull for the first time ever between last night and this afternoon. Then I googled the movie and Jake Lamotta and was surprised to find out he's still alive (95 years old!). It was cool to see a younger Joe Pesci in his first major role. |
Why couldn't you have mentioned this before the last death pool free agency period???? |
Because I had no idea who that was until I saw the movie. lol
|
Know what was cool though? Even though I had never seen it, when the movie started, the score/theme was instantly familiar to me.

If you were babysitting my kids, you'd likely be watching Firefly or old anime. Maybe Princess Bride. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

Shin Godzilla
Great monster movie. Gozilla was absolutely horrifying. Also had a strong message about Japans relationship with nuclear radiation and their often inneffective government, not to mention their relationship with the United States whose role in the movie is nearly as scary as Godzilla.
Must watch imo | SFWordsmith.com

Magnolia
I've wanted to see this for as long as I can remember but never got around to it until now. Movie was long af. The cast was great and so were the performances. I thought the story (stories) being told could have been a little stronger given everything propping them up, but still definitely a good movie. I guess I just expected the moon from something I've always seen reviewed as an "emotional odyssey".

Watched Memento. Pretty solid movie. Enjoyed it quite a bit. 4/5 stars | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
