But every time Survivor comes on, something comes over me and I really want to apply. I'm thinking of making a video throughout this weekend and working well on editing it to get contacted. I don't know how well I would actually do on the show, but I think I have a lot to offer so I really want to go for it! =X I've made a bunch of videos for Big Brother and Survivor and I've ended up deleting all of them and never applying. As Curtis, drrr, and anyone following me in SI can attest I'm fairly self deprecating and lacking confidence, which pours over into the video making process. I'll probably never apply. My best one was probably the one for Survivor where I grew a beard for 39 days, made the video, and ended it by saying this is what I would look like when I won. I watched it, cringed because it's not me at all, and swiftly deleted it. I also chickened out on for an open casting call here, where I could have met Janelle. It was actually for S14 where she ended up being cast for as a coach.

I was talking to my mom about this because I hate the audition process. I feel like in person I would be 10x better and more comfortable because I'm not talking to a camera. I think the issue for me is that I'm not a showboater and I dislike people who are. People who think they are the best at everything are the people I usually try to embarrass. Videos are basically all about you and what you're good at and what you bring to the table. I'd rather show it than explain in great detail how amazing I am!

So I have these two sides where I have this burning desire to be on Survivor and get further in casting but also a part of me that just stays away because I hate making videos. They aren't fun for me for reasons stated above.

If you can't talk to the camera to make an audition video then how will you give confessionals if you make it into the game? (:

You've seen me make confessionals. It's not about that, plus they have people asking you questions. I am just not good about telling everyone why I'm amazing at this and how I'll be good on the show. I can talk to a camera.

Would you bring your guitar as your luxury item and sing your confessionals to the camera?

No. I don't know how to play guitar! I'm a drummer! I would bring bongos.

I'm about state the obvious here.

You'll never get on the show if you don't apply. If it's something you really want to do, you've got to go for it. You don't have to like the video, they casting people do.

Well, it'd be fun if any of you guys actually auditioned for the show. As long as you make sure you know what you're getting yourselves into and don't quit lol.

They honestly don't care about how well-made the video is -- if it's flashy or creative or professionally produced or any of that. They just want to get a sense of who you are and can tell if you're putting on airs. And if somehow they don't know it from the video, they will know from the subsequent phone interviews. You can literally just sit in front of a camera and talk about absolutely nothing, and it could end up being perfect. :)
