Saw Kong Skull Island.

Despite being a super generic flick with an unimaginative script, I enjoyed it, prob never watching it again though.

Agree with Curtis that having it set just after Vietnam was the best decision they made, would probably have been terrible if it wasn't.

We were flipping through channels and stopped on a movie called Panga. It was funny in an MST3K kind of way. There are hilarious elements like the main character being the in the walk in fridge trying to find her husband and she looks around and the camera is like "hanging chicken, chicken, cow corpse, cow corpse, dead husband, cow corpse and WAITAMINUTE!" The camera literally goes past his body and comes back to it. I was laughing for awhile after that.

In addition, their closest neighbor is an old Brit woman and her granddaughter. What does the main character do when everyone is dead at her place? Heads to the neighbors! My wife was like "Don't bring your shit to them! They have a little girl."

Literally, to destroy the "monster", the main character first kills off a witch doctor by setting all the Brit's sugar cane on fire (or as we said "Thanks for destroying all our crops as you brought your shit to us!"). Then for some reason the main character ended up with the granddaughter's doll, went out to the shed/barn, where the monster came to kill her. What did she do? She set the shed on fire, destroying the granddaughter's doll in the blaze. We were like "Fuck, you burn all their crops, burn down their shed, and burn the little girl's doll in the process? You want to kill her dog too?"

Was a classic. Even better, upon looking it up on IMDB, it appears to be the THIRD movie in the series. Apparently this is The Curse III. The first one starred Wil Wheaton.

We saw "Life" this weekend. It was okay, but not great. (Could have been suspense filled, but wasn't, and had a terrible end.)

Also saw the Belco experiment while on vacation. It was a neat concept, but was very poorly approached.

I saw Get Out last night. Has the dude from black mirror who was in the America's Got Talent episode.

Started off kind of slow and overall I was worried about the acting, but everything started to get odd and interesting about 45 min in. That's when it picked up and it got really intense at the end.

Definitely worth seeing. Good movie.

I watched Raging Bull for the first time ever between last night and this afternoon. Then I googled the movie and Jake Lamotta and was surprised to find out he's still alive (95 years old!). It was cool to see a younger Joe Pesci in his first major role.

Why couldn't you have mentioned this before the last death pool free agency period????

I watched a Bleed For This. Pretty good. Miles Teller played the same role as Whiplash but this time he was a boxer.

I enjoy the based on true story movies for some reason. After I watch them I research them and see how much Hollywood changed and deviated from the truth.
