Post #2568 : 26th Feb 2017 3:29 PM I just watched Can't Buy Me Love from 1987 starring Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson on tv. It was fun for a Sunday afternoon, and such an original story that I've never seen done anywhere else. lol

^ Netflix's new original movie. Pretty fun, not much more. Elijah Wood was amusing in it

I finally got sick of waiting for it to pop up on demand and ordered a few movies on DVD or BluRay.
Last night we watched Pootie Tang. And it still kills me every time I watch it.

Didn't hate it, but it was very... well, the whole time I was thinking "this reminds me visually of Only God Forgives" and now having looked up its IMDb page, I see it was made by the same director. So that makes a lot of sense. I definitely liked it better than that lump of shit, but the guy certainly has a certain type of movie that he likes making. I guess they can't all be Drive.

What's funny is last time I watched it was on demand, and this time was DVD. The bullet effects were so much more awesome on our big screen this time.

Holy shit that was biting satire. I loved the whole thing. Acting was great. Final scene was incredible.
Eating fruit loops one by one whilst drinking milk out of a glass with a straw was the most sociopathic part of that movie.
"All this from a slice of gabagool?"
