Amazing. Totally worthy of the 100% on RT. There was nothing I didn't like about it. Someone see it and talk to me

I want to see that movie realllly bad, glad to hear it was good.
I also want to see Moana, but heard mixed reviews.
Last I saw was Good Will Hunting and that movie will never get old to me.

I was gonna keep an ongoing ranking of the movies I've seen that came out this year but so far it's just Patriot's Day, John Wick II, Get Out. They're all wildly different and so difficult to compare
But I'd say........
1. Get Out
2. Patriot's Day
3. John Wick II
All really good | |

I saw the trailer for Get Out when I saw Fences in the middle of the day with my mom and all the old white ladies kept gasping in horror. I can't wait to see it. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

Get Out
I liked it, kept me guessing throughout. Very original/creative/funny at times too
|
Gambino song at the beginning ayyy. There were actually a few things that reminded me of Atlanta, some parts were pretty similar to the Juneteenth episode. And then obviously Darius was in this too
Definitely didn't see the girlfriend twist coming, but it made so much stuff click in hindsight. The friendly blind guy being a villain was a little more obvious
But ya that was one of my favorite parts for sure, the whole sequence where he discovered all the photos his girlfriend was in (which...why was that door left open? Did Georgina do that?), up to where he starts asking for the keys and she finally takes off her 'mask'. It was drawn out just enough and was incredibly tense
The revenge sequence was great/satisfying too. Vry Tarantino-esque |

The gf part was great. I WANTED TO LIKE HER SO BAD. She was so likable throughout the first half and then I was praying for a brutal demise so badly. I was hoping Chris was gonna tell his buddy to drive forward and run her over at the end
Speaking of which, how funny was TSA Rod? He stole the movie. He was absolutely hilarious. When he's got the notes scribbled down on the conspiracy and scribbles out the word magic. "stupid...magic isn't real!" It's a blink and you miss it moment but it was the funniest part of the movie to me. I was SO sure he was gonna get shot by her at the end through the car windshield since she was still alive next to the gun. I was bracing for it but was rly glad it didn't happen
I'm curious who opened the door for him too. I didn't even think about that until afterwards. I guess any member of the family could've technically done it since they were about to drop the act anyway |

ya TSA Rod was p great, I was definitely expecting him to run over Rose at the end too. Forgot to mention it but that reveal of Rod in the police car was really a great twist. By that point in all the action at the Armitage house I wasn't thinking about the Rod subplot at all, so when I saw the police lights my heart sank cuz it seemed like it was gonna be a really dark ending where Chris gets arrested (especially since all the 'brain-swapping' evidence presumably burned up at the house). Which tbh would've been a pretty good ending too, but I'm glad we got the happy one |

My theater went craaaaazy during that part. I expected a much darker ending too tbh, not such a crowd pleasure. It was great tho. I thought for sure it was gonna be the cop at the start. I think I gasped when the door opened and said airport |
