Curtis and Merc are enveloped by a strong green glow and magical energy crackles around them. You can see them wracked with agony. Jme appears to be in a catatonic state but the energy emanating from them is making the statue glow even stronger.

The warden slowly recovers from the ground and looks up as Curtis and Merc start to direct the energy towards Zach.

"No!" He shouts and scrambles to his feet

"That's what I was trying to tell you, this one is an ancestor of Baron Cyric and the statue wants to take them! If you don't kill them it will kill one of you!"

Too late Curtis and Merc watch as Zach is enveloped in the energy. Almost in slow motion you all watch in horror as Zach explodes and the energy from statue gathers towards Curtis.

as Zach dies you here whispers all around you and you realise that he was a wizard who was able to intercept thoughts and messages. The last thing you see as he explodes is his Zhentarim insignia. Alignment: Chaotic Evil

As the energy hits Curtis full in the chest he falls back to the ground motionless

after a few seconds he slowly gets to his feet and his clothes are in tatters but he appears to be unharmed.

The day continues.
