The image was actually originally on the cat article which makes slightly more sense, but in the description on that page it said here is a cat on a DECtalk machine. I clicked the DECtalk out of curiosity since the cat article made no mention of it whatsoever.

Neither article has anything to do with each other but Wikipedia has linked them anyway.

I've recently started watching it, I blazed through the first 2 seasons and now that AMC is on DISH I can watch it when it comes on TV now. I very much enjoy this show.

We used to have an actual thread for that show. Jus' sayin.

Anyway, I need to get around to watching it. I haven't seen anything from the new season yet, and I'm kinda hesitant because I feel like I'll already know a lot of the plot elements by dint of having read the comics. The show occasionally strays from them (a la the Sophia arc in season two), but for some reason I feel like it's going to be pretty scripted.

Though I gotta say... sheesh, I nearly quit just on principle after the "dead people turn into zombies even if they weren't infected" was revealed. The fact that it was supposed to be the "big secret" of the second season was a complete waste, since everybody who'd read the comics knew that already, and it made next to no difference in either version.

I watched the pilot back when it first aired and really liked it.

...And then the second episode was so bad that I never watched it again

Ugh Game of Thrones doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm really not big on fantasy fiction and these big fantasy epics are even less appealing. LOTR is about the only thing in the genre I can stomach.

To be fair it's unlike most things in the fantasy genre. It's more of a medieval thing with lots of politicking and rich characters, with a little bit of fantasy elements thrown in. IN A WAY it's reminiscent of The Wire if that were set in a fantasy world (though The Wire is a far better show obviously)

Maybe I will try it sometime. I dunno.

Anyway gracing Facebook today is a 450 post argument between three people I know talking publically about one of my best friends (who has his account deleted at the moment but could easily log in and see it).

Shit like this completely blows my mind. I think in their tiny little heads they don't realise how public this all is. I think most people don't. It really does baffle me at times. Who the hell wants to put their dirty laundry on display to all and sundry on the internet? It's ludicrous.

It just makes me wonder how much people actively think about all the nonsense they do on a day to day basis. There must be an actual mental blockage there that just can't see sensible routes through life. I don't get it and I never will.
