I really don't know what to think with Herm at this point. It's really ballsy to come up with a claim like that and not have it be true. On top of that I was scrolling through thinking the suspicion on Vernon was a late push to get it off Herm, but then he made this post:

The thing is, both backups can't take over simultaneously. That would either have to be covered explicitly or through invisible text, and I find invisible text unlikely since it would directly contradict the visible text.

Yeah, that's what's really perplexing me. The only other possibility I can think of is that the slayers would be of different alignments? I don't know. At this point, I'd rather lynch Vernon and think about Herm again tomorrow. Not ruling out that Herm could be third party.
