I just watched a creepy episode of The Twilight Zone.
"Long-Distance Call", where an old woman gives her grandson a toy phone for his birthday and after she dies, his parents start to think he's actually talking to her on it.
We're slowly going through all the old Twilight Zones again that I recorded during the New Years marathon on Skiffy. But we're hitting MASH episodes still as they come first.
We did watch some Ghost in the Shell: SAC with the kids last night since there was no new MASH recordings yet.
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?
I liked it a lot. It's enjoyable (frustrating at times) to see two completely self destructive and narcissistic characters as the leads in a romantic comedy. They were both enormous assholes as the season went by. I hope they start to redeem themselves in season two. If that's the long term plan then I love that they didn't force redemption/change on both characters throughout this first season
I don't know where the anime thread is, but I've been watching Flying Witch lately and I'll probably finish Cardcaptor Sakura some time since I decided to try the Crunchyroll free trial.
That's right, that latter episode is "The Body"! I can't say much that hasn't been said before, but I was engrossed the entire time, unsettled by some of the great artistic choices made and it cemented season 5 as my favorite Buffy season so far.
