Bram Stoker's Dracula
Listened to it on Audible and really liked it. Tim Curry was a draw as Van Helsing but Alan Cumming absolutely stole the show as Dr. Seward. He did most of the heavy lifting and killed it
I was all Dracula'd out after watching a few different adaptations the past few years for my 39 Horror challenge, but the novel certainly goes into a whole lot more. The movies cut out some fairly violent bits and lots of great detail. Very cleverly written at times, he had a unique style. Big fan!
I used an audible free trial and forgot to cancel after a month, whoops. Now I've got a credit for another book so my hunt begins

Not really a book but I recently read a web comic about Elan School, which is one of those cult schools for “troubled kids”
Really awesome read. There are about 75 chapters so far and he’s doing about one a month.
I read it in like 3 days, very interesting but also sad.

I'm reading Don Quixote atm. Wasn't expecting it to be so funny.

For those listening to Audiobooks (or reading on devices if that's your thing), try the Libby App. You can add your library card and borrow audiobooks for free. The bad thing is they may not be available right away but you can place a hold so you'll get them when they are. I prefer real books to kindle type devices but I also listen to audio books. I go through phases and am just entering a new reading phase (mixture of reading/listening.)

Alien: Out of the Shadows
Alien: River of Pain
Two novels that were turned into Audible original ‘radio dramas’. Both have great casts, Rutger Hauer in the first and Colin Salmon in the second are the standouts
Out of Shadows takes place after Alien and is about a ship that picks up Ripley in stasis. River of Pain is about the collapse of the colony from Aliens
Both fun and quick listens, I enjoyed them. They’re part of a trilogy of novels, listening to the third now

I listened to Batman Unburied which blew up on Spotify.
I thought it was pretty good, gripping story with fun callbacks and cameos, is about 10 episodes of 20 minutes or so. I’d give it a 7/10 | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I never really cared much for audio books, but something like this could make me give it a try lol

Yea it was interesting. It was made to be a podcast so it’s all dialogue and no narration. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
