If it's who I think it is then I think they are town too. There's only one thing I can think of that can be perceived as a lie and it involves the use of the item I got so either the gift giver is scum or the in-laws role copped them maybe or tib is just full of shit and being petty

I think TIB is just trying to help his team as best he can before he goes down, which I don’t blame him for.

But it is creating quite a distraction.
