I haven't even started with settlements yet. It sounds fun but I'm too busy exploring at the moment. I haven't tried out any of the crafting stations either. I don't know where to find gun parts.

I'm well behind on the story. The last main story quest I completed was:

The memory den one, where you find out about Kellog's past to find out where Shaun is. I liked that one. I've now got the mission to go out and find the guy holed up out at sea or something, but I've postponed it to do so Goodneighbour quests. I prefer this settlement to Diamond City so far. The mayor is cool. Has anyone else met the Vault Tech Salesman? I thought that was a nice touch.

Gun parts are just made from junk.

Supposedly if you have the perk that lets you analyze weaknesses in VATS, synths have higher energy resistance than the other settlers once you account for their equipment. I only had it happen once

Where is the best place to sell stuff or barter?

I sold my Ashmaker yesterday at the Diamond City Market and the value was in the thousands and I only got like 200 caps lol

Why would you sell it? What the fuck vern.

Getting the Cap Collector perk helps so you get more caps when selling and prices are a bit lower when buying.

My money making method is getting a bunch of water purifiers and selling all the water is makes. Idk if there's a right place to sell stuff, but when you have a fuckton of water that's 9 caps each, you can make a lot of caps just going around each vendor and taking almost all of their money.

I store all the weapons and armor I don't use in a trunk in my house in Diamond City. I only carry a few weapons on me. Makes buying ammo and stuff easier.

I sold it because I don't really need it. It's heavy and I can use a lot of other weapons.

For example the mini nuke. The missile launcher.

My XBone glitched out and forced me to do a factory reset. RIP my fallout save. :(

I'm seriously so mad about it. I've never put a single point into the Unarmed skill in any Fallout character I've played, so I decided this time I'd flip the script and just punch the shit out of the Commonwealth without registering a single ballistics kill.

It took me like two hours of real time to kill the first Deathclaw I ran into outside the patriot museum, and I wound up running out of Stimpacks and chems on a regular basis, but I eventually managed to level up high enough to punch Swan to death and take the furious power fist, which basically allowed me to kill everything I came across after that.

So on the one hand I'm happy that I can finally use bullets again, but really annoyed because I was super proud of that character.

Anyone enter the glowing sea yet? I progressed that and a bit more of the main mission last night

I've only ever gone there for the main quest. There were like four deathclaws wandering around and I noped the fuck outta there and haven't gone back.
