Hey, is this new season actually good? I'm weary of trying it due to the trainwreck that was season 2.

The guy playing Tom Purcell in S3 would be a great live action Randy Marsh from South Park.

Hopefully Season 3 is good. I'll start it once they've released all episodes on HBO.

I'm really enjoying it so far, but I think I read that critics are divided on it.
In this last episode I really loved
|
the scene with old Wayne panicking, suffering from his dementia as he stumbled through his house calling out for his wife and kids. And he finally calms down when he opens the bedroom door and it shows a scene with younger Wayne in bed with his wife reading to their kids and it calmed him down.
I thought that was a really neat way of showing his battle with his own memory, and how much it calms him when he's able to stumble across the light of a memory to ground him during the darkness of one of his episodes.
That plus the closing scene with old Wayne and old Roland. "Stir some shit up with me." |
