If Mafia has someone that needs a certain number or range of numbers to get their best ability or an extra kill or something and we are all revealing our rolls it could end poorly for us.

Well primate idk if this is how it goes for you but depending on the number I roll on the d20, my role/power/whatever changes

It seems like that’s how it works for other people as well

I'm extrapolating that with the rolls being a thing at all, it could be possible that scum could have a way to counteract/change/steal/exchange with their own. I don't assume anything about it. It's possible, however, and something we should consider in a setup like this is all.

The “role” vs “roll” distinction is important.

Example.

You roll a 20. You tell everyone you rolled a 20. Mafia has someone who can exchange your roll with another person's roll. They also have a member that needs a 20 in order to get an extra nightkill. They exchange their team mate's roll with yours and kill an extra one of us.

Is the scenario I was saying is a possibility. It's just as possible it's not a thing.

What are the hodie votes for?

Is this some sort of reverse psychology? This just seems like such a specific argument.
