Now list of those classes how many came from the nationally part (: |
Exactly. California has a ton of high school talent. I can’t ever remember UCLA recruiting a top 5 player from ANY state anywhere in the South. And I’m not exactly young.
If you recruit halfway decent exclusively in the state of California you can land a top 20 class.

Why is the stadium half empty for the PAC 12 Championship? |
Because the game is being played in one of the most expensive cities in the country, on a workday, 600-800 miles from each of the team's schools, during finals week.
|
And........
|
People in the Bay Area don't care about football enough to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to watch a game between two teams they don't root for, in a stadium that's a pain in the ass to get to, when they can just watch it at home on TV.
Not every region of the country is rapid about spending all their disposable income on going to live sporting events. |
Exactly. If this was the SEC championship game it wouldn’t matter if there was a damn hurricane rolling in on a Wednesday night. The place would be standing room only.

Auburn’s last 2 season openers have seen them defeat the eventual PAC 12 champs.
Washington and Oregon.

Exactly farlig. Spin trying to push goal posts. Only USC recruits nationally
Big 12 sucks too. This Baylor oklahoma game is torture to watch |
But the Big 12 sucks at defense. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

They haven’t been able to figure out offense since Boykin graduated. They always have a solid D (which is his thing) but haven’t had a top offense in a while. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

For a team that went 9-4 with a 1st year coach, I'd say that's a hell of a haul for "non-west" top recruits, since Bama can get anyone they want (other than kickers, apparently).
