From just a pure fast-food burger standpoint, it's hard to beat an In 'N Out Double-double Animal-style. I would eat like 2 or 3 of those right now, if there was one within a 1000 miles of me.

I don't no understand the In n Out love. I've had it twice and both times left disappointed.

as far as i know there is only 1 Chick Fil A anywhere near me and it hasnt been open that long. never ate there.

we really need to get you over to Coolidge Corner, no only does Pinos have great pizza but next door is Eagles Deli, which has great burgers.

My problem with most fast "casual" burger places is they tend to only do well done for their own protection. Fuddruckers let's you get medium rare, but their buns don't hold up very well once any sauces hit them.

Sometimes you'll luck into a medium burger at some of the "nicer" places.

I recall Smashburger being one of those where you'd consistently get a decent burger that wasn't griddled all to hell.

I used to go to one downtown which took over the bagel place I worked at in college. I don't think it is there anymore either. I think the one out in Fairfax is still there.

The Five Guys in Tucson, AZ, were decent. The Five Guys in Little Rock, AR, are pure garbage. Which is surprising, because you'd think a national chain would have a bit more consistency, but every time I go in there, it's garbage. There are no shortage of counter-style fast burger joints around here that are significantly better than Five Guys.

If you live in a college town you probably have stoners working to make some cash and they don't give a fuck.

Never been to in n out or 5 guys.
Red robin is decent. Freddy's sucks, but everyone I ask loves it? Tried to do fuddruckers once, but it smelled so terrible I couldn't go in.
