I think the biggest reason that a Zach lynch benefits town is that we learn whether the beginning of day messages are legit. And if they ARE legit, that person is able to continue scum hunting and potentially reveal info without putting themselves in danger (it also helps that DS is dead so they are far likely to be outed for no reason). Imo that person shouldn't have to out themselves. Defeats the whole point of the role.
