I also don't watch it regularly. But it's entertaining, and sometimes it's fun to even laugh at because it's so ridiculous. But people watch it for the same reasons they'll watch something like Real Housewives or other silly reality shows, or soap operas I guess.
It would be difficult to just start watching it as an adult, sure. But I used to watch it all the time as a kid. Guys like Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior seemed like real-life superheroes. lol Obviously, that's a lot different now. But a lot of wrestlers are very talented athletes. Basically it's just entertainment mixed with sport.
And it's spelled 'conchairto', thank you. :P

Hulk Hogan is still a real life super hero, he defeated Gawker with his 24 inch python.

i dunno, why would any rational adult troll a message board? |
I dunno, you tell me. But first, how many assumptions are you making here? |
Because they think it's fun I guess! And one assumption. That you are an adult.

Was just listening to the Russo podcast where he interviewed Ryback. Was full of lulz. No need to listen if you haven't because it's basically just "steroids are great. You just have to know what you're doing when taking them".

And I'm not asking to be persuaded, I was asking for a fan's reasons for being a fan. So fine, a soap opera. Probably way easier to get into if you're already into it. Frankly, some people watch football for the same reasons. |
I'm from the south and I like crazy, over-the-top shit. Wrestling has been neutered but so has everything else due to political correctness. I wish the fags that keep on complaining about fucking shit like profanity, stereotyping minorities, and mocking homosexuals would lighten up. Listening to them bitch is worse than watching midgets wrestle.

I caved and ordered the Network for a month. I got to watch NXT Takeover last night, Rumble tonight and Smackdown's Elimination Chamber in two weeks, plus a bunch of original programming and on-demand service, all for the low low fee of $11.99.

Royal Rumble 'spoilers'...kind of.
|
It was an entertaining Rumble match. I was 100% expecting Shawn Michaels to be a surprise entrant seeing as the the event was taking place in his home town. I kept trying to predict what was going to happen. I did not predict the winner. But I'm glad it was him and not the other guy.

I had no idea Mick Foley had lost over 100 lbs. He looks the same, tbh. (other than the haircut)
